Tomlin isn't going anywhere. He's not on any hotseat. The Steelers had 3 coaches in the last 46 years. Each one knew what was expected of them and each one left, or will leave, on their own terms. The fans may not approve, but it's Rooney's team and that's how they operate.

The Steelers haven't fired a coach since 1968.  Not gonna happen when the team is 500 or above and just won a playoff game.

But fans get frustrated faster than ownership.  And having one playoff win in 6 years and a seeming lack of control over players along with his abysmal record against bad teams is frustrating.

Tomlin sans Lebeau sounds an awful lot like Marvin Lewis.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
