I'm gonna have to stop you all right here. THE MOST important in descending order..Round tires, a running engine and a working transmission..A windshield's not a terrible thing to have and seats in general. Doors that open and close don't hurt a damned thing either nor does an automatic electric starter. Ever cranked an engine by hand? Oh yeah..batteries.
Least important? Paint color, heated seats and drivers who think they're the greatest driver in the history of the automobile. Everything else is fluff.
By far the most under rated safety features? Unibody design with crush zones saves more lives than most any feature of the past 50 years. Seat belts and air bags along with the braking system.. Brakes are kind of useful and by the way are a REALLY useful feature. I tend to go for the basic features that make driving a vehicle possible at all.

HUD is absolutely life changing....

I'm shopping for a new car now and I will not get a vehicle even if it doesn't have it.

Power steering.

I'll never forget living abroad (South America) and trying to turn the wheel of a car that I didn't know lacked power steering.

We just got a new SUV & I got the wife's SUV . I live in Fort Lauderdale, so my needs are different. My biggest must have list:

Memory seats, hate getting my seat perfect over time & someone changes it. Panoramic sunroof. Air Conditioned seats.

Useless for me, Nav system & sunglass holder.

Memory seats as in it remembers the last setting when that Key was in the ignition?

Thats cool until someone hands you their WIFES key to park their car (and doesnt inform you of this feature... I was nearly crushed!!)

No it's buttons you press that set the seat. It does the seats and mirrors.

I think it was the chyrsler 300 my uncle had... came with 2 keys and depending on the key you put it it would reset the seat to the last position it was in when that key was being used lol

Ford has/had a "My Key" feature that did this.

Also it was great if you had young kids. Because you could also do the following:

Set maximum speed
Set maximum Radio Volume
Cell Phone "Do not disturb"

Must have: Heated Seats, Sport Mode, Twin Turbos

Useless: Auto Shutoff My F150 I can shut that function off. MyTerrain you can't and that is ridiculous!

Most useful....... roll cage, fire suppression system, wheelie bars, emergency fuel cutoff.

Most useless.......radio, head lights, air conditioning, starter.

Yeah..those old fashioned hand cranks were really convenient especially on a real cold day when you were hoping for a broken arm..
You can thank Charles Kettering for fixing that.. Those things were dangerous..many broken arms and hands and fingers..
I'm kind of happy to have headlights although I'm not too pleased with some of the super bright lights some vehicles now have. It's like driving directly into the sun some nights..lol
One modern convenience is an automatic hatch opener.. Mine only works when I'm not carrying a bunch of heavy crap. Never works if I have 100 pounds of junk in my hands.. Go figure..

I've learned that adaptive cruise control is annoying. The kind that adjusts your speed based on the car in front of you. I was traveling yesterday and had my cruise set on 70 MPH in light traffic. As I loathe dumbasses that ride in the left lane (it's actually illegal in Germany) I stay in the right lane. I was coming up on a Semi and told myself, that once I get closer I will pass. After about a mile I realized I wasn't getting any closer, looked down at my speedometer and I was going 55

Agreed. While reducing the trail distance can help, I've found that the only time I really thought adaptive cruise control was useful was when the kiddos were asleep in the back and I was in no rush to get home so I didn't care if it slowed me down.

I kinda like it, the adaptive cruise, but it will creep like you’re saying. My wife’s Subaru alliws you th adjust the distance, so that helps.

It’s now illegal to ride left in Arkansas, only for passing or avoiding pulled over cars.

Most annoying is the adaptive feature that keeps you in the lane. It’s ok on straightaways, but it goes nuts in a curve. It’s not just annoying, it’s unnerving as hell. I hate it when I accidentally turn it on.

It is in Colorado as well, but doesn't stop anyone. I believe there are a handful of states where it's a law, and they put signs all over the highway reminding people, but I've never noticed a difference when it comes to actual behavior, and I can't imagine it's enforced in any real way, unless there was no one on the highway and a cop came flying up behind.

It's definitely enforced in Germany
