No wonder there is a vote for Brexit and Netherlands wants its own Nexit vote.

The EU migrant crisis is “shaking confidence” in the bloc and will cost member countries up to £20bn
The Paris-based Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said many legacies of the 2008 financial crash remained “unresolved” and confidence in the European project had yet to recover.
Meanwhile the large influx of refugees and migrants sparked by the ongoing Syrian crisis was now threatening the EU’s progress and prosperity.
As well as provoking political tensions, it was leading to pressure to reintroduce border controls in the previously passport-free Schengen zone of countries which was “a setback for European integration”.
The ensuing hindrance to free movement of goods and workers would “to some extent undo the benefits of the single market and shake confidence in the EU more generally”, said its report.
Meanwhile the long-term impact of the surge of asylum-seekers into Europe was uncertain and would depend on how many got jobs and how quickly they integrated into society.
The financial burden, including the direct cost of supporting the newcomers on arrival would be as much as £20billion, or 0.2 per cent of the EU’s total economic output in 2016.
Some countries such as Sweden which have taken a lot of migrants will be forced to spend as much as 0.9 per cent of their output on the issue.

The report added that the outcome of Britain’s EU referendum could have “important implications” for economic performance in the UK and the rest of Europe – an apparent toning down of the OECD’s previous warnings that Brexit would deal a “major negative shock”.
The report came ahead of warnings to be given later today by leading Leave campaigners about the risks of a Remain vote, including ever higher immigration levels.
UK Independence Party MEP and migration and financial affairs spokesman Steven Woolfe is expected to tell a Grassroots Out rally: “A vote to Remain is not a vote for the status quo but a vote for what the EU will be in 10 years’ time.

Deep analysis. How have you not been tapped for a cabinet position with deep thoughts like this? Or is it your phone again?

Please don't stalk me over these comments. Trigger warning.

20 billion euro  is an insane amount to pay for these illegals.   Merkel and others made the biggest mistake of the decade by welcoming these migrants... As more information comes out its apparent that it was a mistake to let them into Europe.

They should have never let these fighting aged men cross the borders in their hoards.

It's beyond a joke.

Why?

Just because it was spent on the immigrants or because you believe spending that kind of money is ridiculous?

Both.

It's a waste of resources to spend money on people who aren't even there legally.   They are begging to get in....     Plus it's just too much money for a body like the EU to spend when their initial goal was to be a free trade zone.    Not this nonsense they have now become.
