As a Bengal fan, I don't like the Steelers as much as the next guy. (Save for a few of our Steeler members.) But terrorist threats, no matter who they involve are NOT funny. And nothing to make light of.

2) Agreed.

Except for the title that says, “Must be a Bengal fan”

Yeah, he didnt continue the thought in the actual post, but it's tough to get any other meaning out of the title.

Free Agency ain't over until it is over.

Everything should be open to comedy. Comedy helps us deal with life's stupidity. Many comedians are giving up because crowds have become overly sensitive PC zombies. There's a lot of serious shit that's fun to make fun of. Watch some youtube videos of Bill Burr....he spares no one. South Park is the same way....they make fun of everyone and everything equally.

Comedy is very subjective. And criticizing what you don't like is the other side of the "free expression" coin.  Shutting down someone who is offended is no better than shutting down someone who is offensive.

In other words, I'm arguing for balance.

Almost everything can be interpreted as subjective to some degree. But being offended by something does not give someone the right to dictate what others feel is or is not offensive. Somehow the words "I'm offended" have been determined to be some sort of capital you can use to prevent others from experiencing something you dont like.

Right.  But we've also seen the same dynamic on the opposite end of the spectrum.  People who do voice their opinions shouldn't be shut down any more than the offending party should be.

If theeir opinion is that everyone else has to stop because they are offended, then yes it is ok to shut them down.

Too bad it was a disgruntled Steelers fan who was angry about the team letting go of Harrison.

Yes but, as has been demonstrated in this thread, sometimes that is the perception more than it is the reality.
