NOV '23 ECONOMIC DATA- Smooth Sailing ahead
#41
One of the biggest drivers of inflation in the past few years aside from covid has been the reshoring if industry back to the United States from China.  Like it or not that means jobs, but it also means the need to upgrade our infrastructure to deal with all the increased industrial capacity.  Building new factories and industrial plant requires new roads, electrical power capacity, water and sewer lines, logistics and on and on. It doesn't happen in a vacuum.. Think of it as the down payment on your future..
In the immortal words of my old man, "Wait'll you get to be my age!"

Chicago sounds rough to the maker of verse, but the one comfort we have is Cincinnati sounds worse. ~Oliver Wendal Holmes Sr.
