New Poll Shows Dems' Mammoth Congressional Lead for 2018 Has Disappeared

Part of me wonders if this is just a one-off thing, or if this is going to be presidential politics going forward.  If/when Trump runs in 2020 will he be talking about the election being rigged?  Will his opponent do the same thing?  Will Gary Johnson also admit the election is rigged against him, but be telling the truth?

I think he would have been much happier losing, and stay in the spotlight talking about the rigging.

I'd say there was a lot of evidence that was the path he planned to take, most notably that it would have given him the best chance for instant revenue because of it.  Maybe it's all a media-driven exaggeration, but his wife seems pretty unhappy that he won.  I can't say I really knew much about her and her demeanor before this though.  I wonder how Marla Maples would have handled all this?

It's one of those things that literally makes too much sense to not be true.

It’s her culture. Doesn’t surprise me at all that she doesn’t care about the office of the First Lady. She cares about Baron and that he is raised correctly. She will attend some things but that’s about it. She isn’t doing all the publicity stuff that we had to endure with michelle obama. That’s why Ivanka is over there. I imagine she runs that office.

Ofc. Funny thing is that he will end up being a two term president. It’s not a bad thing that we have a president who didn’t want the job.

I guess there are a lot of reasons a woman around Trump would look miserable that have nothing to do with his office.

Qualifications and motivations matter.  It's not like he reluctantly answered a calling....

I just love the fact he's making heads of people who think the POTUS matters explode.....I enjoy the trolling....Hilarious watching Obama apologists lose their shit over basically the same guy (except he's white and Republican).

Yeah that obviously has become an American political trend recently. Put the trolls in charge, see 'em heads 'sploding. How great is that.

Seriously.
You're saying, aside from the fact that Obama was black and a democrat, he and Trump are "basically the same guy".

Seriously?

Both are ego maniacs. Neither knows what is really going on policy wise. Both of them are really good at campaigning and speeches.

I guess you could say that obama likes his women thick and trump prefers beautiful. Add that to the differences I suppose lol ....... yes Dino that line is for you. Hahaha

I did read today that the Dems stance on the budget is hurting them in the polls. I think Trump agreeing to citizenship of twice as many folks as the Dems simply wanted DACA extended for and then the Dems still crying RACIST!! is growing a little thin on more than just the Right.

Now that you say it...

...remember when Obama had this alleged affair with a pornstar he betrayed his third wife with? Remember when he said he grabs women by the *****... ah good times. Uh, and yeah remember when Obama told us to check out a porn video of that women that didn't like him? We all stood there, surfing one-handed, and then there wasn't even a porn video. Ah he got us good there, oh Obama, never gonna give you up!

Aaah, and when Obama had all that secret Russia ties, or when Obamas family members met with all the Russians, and all these advisers and campaign members, and they would never say a thing until they absolutely had to? This one guy responsible for everything who got no security clearance after a year because he kept not mentioning his foreign meetings in the foreign meetings column... the one that loved to get dirt on Romney and was so disappointed after it was all totally super-harmless... weren't they all cute? And then when Obama met Lavrov in the Oval office, he was so happy there, told them some secret stuff and was so proud of having fired the FBI director because of the heat... ah and when he just liked Putin so much because Putin said Obama's really something... those two, isn't the world strange, the US president and the murderous Russian autocrat, both united by being commies inside (or in Trump's case by money laundering – allegedly - but who gives - basically the same guy!)

Remember when Obama caused chaos on the airports because he wouldn't let Iraqi army interpreters in after they were promised to get in for risking their life? Ah, those interpreters... just pretend they're Kurds and enjoy betraying them. REmember when Obama didn't honor all these contracts? Yeah, these two decent men knew how to make America great again. By showing the world the finger, that's how! Of course Obama didn't say shithole to the place he was actually born in. Or not born in, Trump just asked questions, but sure Obama always did that too. Remember those lock him up? chants against McCain and Romney? And yet some would call Trump the divisive one, unbelievable.

I also vividly remember Obama going after reporters, how they are the most dishonest people on earth, enemies of the people and bleed out of their whatever or from a facelift or that they are fat and ugly... this guy's manners, exemplary, and it was not that he despised all of them, only those who were critical of him. But of course no one said a thing then because Obama was black and a democrat, so the establishment was OK with that. Trump does the same thing and gets grilled. Also, Obama was thought a stable genius without having the doctor to come out and tell the world he aced a dementia test by naming a rhino. It's all so unfair.

Remember Obama always intervening with FBI investigations and then slam and fire those who didn't do as he'd please? But you must remember when he shittalked to those boyscouts, right. When he went after those skunks who wouldn't do business with his family members. When Obama said to this Jew that he was the least antisemitic person that guy will ever meet... when he told McCain he likes people who weren't captured! When he said he could shoot someone and wouldn't lose voters! Oh and when...

Basically the same guy. Yeah right.

There is this, but there is also the fact that their messaging has been terrible. There is a saying inside the beltway that Democrats are great at governing but terrible at running for office, and Republicans are great at running for office but terrible at governing. I don't necessarily agree with this whole hog, but I sure as shit agree with the idea that Democrats are terrible at running for office compared to the Republicans.

The problem is that democrats have just moved way left on several issues that affect the majority of this country. Plus the issues of the day are on he conservative side atm.

Running for office has a lot to do with your positions.

I remember the obama adininstration:

running guns to Mexico Cartels, getting border police killed.

spying of reporters and their families

Shutting down grassroots political groups with the IRS

Spying on political opponents.

You speak about ties to Russia...... obama employee ties to Iran and communism . Valerie Jarret has a long history of communist sympathizers whether it was her father or her father in law. Both worked with the Soviets. This was Obama’s highest advisor and the reason Iran got all that money and how has a path to nukes.

The Democratic establishment is further to the right now than many people realize. Why do you think they lost the unions? It wasn't because they were protecting the rights of workers. It's because they have moved the right economically and it has hurt them.

Meh, let's be honest, Trump's first wife isn't exactly a 10 these days and Obama probably could have dropped Michelle and married someone 25 years younger than him that might fit your standards of beauty.  I don't see why a conservative such as yourself would be so eager to criticize a man for honoring his first marriage.

I spoke about Obama and Trump being "basically the same guy". I left out 99% of the things that could have been said to that. But now that I learn Obama had an adviser whose father you believe to have had some viewpoints you don't like, I totally get the point.

The establishment of both parties has always been that middle Group who loves to spend irresponsibly.

And no the democrats have become the anti worker party. Their immigration stance alone is anti worker. Their move to the far left has allowed trump to slide in to the old 90’s democrat positions that look conservative to the democrats today.

The topics of the day just favor the GOP. The healthcare debate favored the dems and they messed it up.
