Obama's HUGE ego...
#1
I was reminiscing about the quite time we've had since the 2012 Presidential election Smirk and got to thinking about the President's ego.

It was a major concern among the conservative media for quite a while.

And here's a Daily Show bit on it just for giggles:

And I wondered why they aren't complaining about Trump's ego?

Here's a man who decides his net worth based on his "feelings" that day. Who claims he doesn't have to listen anyone because he doesn't need their money. And a man who inflates everything he does/did/will do as the greatest ever.

Its odd that his ego isn't as bad as the current President's.

Somehow Trump's "exaggerations" (or lying as it is known in most places) merit very little press from the right. I wonder why that is?

Because Trump is very rich. Therefore Republicans (especially of the Ayn Rand persuasion) believe he really is one of the greatest human beings alive.

I don't think anyone is talking about it, because they want to refrain from giving him any more press.
Neither party really wants him to have the exposure, as he's wiley enough to turn it to his favor.

He doesn't need anyone's money. So he isn't under anyones thumb. That's their biggest concern.

Who doesn't talk about Trump's ego? And he isn't nor will he be the President.

Let me simplify so you can get the point.

Republicans criticized Obama for his huge ego.  They said it was a bad thing.

Now the leader in the polls among Republicans has the most massive ego in the world.

So if it was bad for Obama why is it not bad for Trump?

Get it now?

19%.  So most republicans, by a lot, aren't in favor of him.  81% to be precise.

Most of the "staunch" republicans I know love the Donald. They think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I honestly think he's got a very real shot at taking the Presidency.  I think what another poster said above about him already rich and not needing any more money from campaign donors is absolutely true and that absolutely terrifies the "rich" of this country.  You can't buy him.  I think for that reason alone, I might be more than tempted to vote for him come election time.

The problem is his "wealth" is tied up in investments...and he just makes up how much he is worth depending on when you ask him.

Also, he's enormously greedy so someone that would offer him MORE money or power he'd jump at it.

That woukld be a bad reason to vote for him.  he has dedicated his life to making as much money as possible, and those kind of guys can easily be bought by the highest bidder.

Rich people are just as greedy as anyone else.  Sometimes even more so.  I'll bet Trump lives by the motto "Greed is good", and those guys sell out faster than anyone else.

Easy answer: A majority of conservatives do not want Trump as their candidate. The best course of action is to ignore Trump.
