And nothing of value was lost.

Rules is rules, so find the Arsonist. This partictular mosque gets no sympathy from me, however.

Hm so by that reasoning I can burn down a bunch of different Churches because statistically most murders and rapes and whatnot are performed by Christians.

Good to know I'll at least get a pass from Bigzo. He believes in punishing a bunch of innocent people for the actions of one mentally ill sociopath.

Mellow

An entire place of worship is destroyed and you have no sympathy for any of the members?

Wow.

Wait, are they known for being jihadist/extreme, or are they just the mosque that he happened to go to?

Because if it's the latter, that's really pathetic.

Did any of you click my second link?

I'm not blaming the mosque for Mateen's actions. They've invited speakers who have shown anti-gay sentiment to speak at their mosque.

I tend to not give sympathy to people who violate the harm principle (or associate with).

Sue me.

That doesn't parallel my reasoning at all.

But if you want to burn down the WBC, be my guest. You'd be doing a public service.

So most murderers and rapists go to church, read the gospels and/or accept Jesus as their savior? Got it.

So you are fine with destroying any building / group that supports anti-gay speakers?

I don't think anything that blatantly preaches hate and tries to change people's actions when they harm no one is producing anything of value, so I can't bring myself to care if something happens to it.

Don't make a simple concept complicated. This logic isn't that hard to apply on a consistent basis.

The lengths that some of you people go to coddle religious fuckery when it's done by a brown person is astonishing though.

I think he is referring to that one Imam that spoke at a local mosque down there that said that homosexuals should be put to death. Which is still legal to do in 10 Islamic countries. Hes the one that travels around speaking at mosques and centers, and was barred from entering Australia due to that sort of rhetoric he uses.

Imo though, this incident was wrong to do.

And why not? It's not like the gospels don't call for the stoning of people wearing mixed fabrics or the murder of nonbelievers at any point.

Different people take different things from texts that are open to interpretation. The best modern representative of that group would be Islamic Extremists and the WBC.

Burn it to the ground.

The pastor got blowback and condemnation.

If the church where he performed said serman joined the chorus, they're cool.

If not, I wouldn't care if it went ablaze.

The video shows the "Husseini Islamic Center" as hosting the deplorable speaker. The news article says the "Islamic Center of Fort Pierce" was the one that had the arson. Two different mosques two hours away from each other.

No....it couldn't be

But as to the OP: I have sympathy for the members of this Mosque that lost their place of worship and am glad to see that it appears no one was injured (except possibly arsonist).

I would venture to say that a good portion of this community has already suffered knowing that their flock once contained a mass-murderer.

The person that comitted this crime should be tried for a hate crime once/is caught.

Wrong mosque.

They arrested the asshole. I hope they get some compensation for their loss.

Remember that time you started a thread that falsely claimed an innocent mosque once hosted a vile homophobe and doesn't deserve sympathy for being the victim of arson, and then you chastised others for "the lengths they'll go to coddle the religion of brown people"?

And then you realized that you were wrong?

That was funny. The lengths people will go to attack the religion of brown people...
