Our DL has 10 sacks

Where’s he getting 13 from? They have 10 by my count…

Trey Hendrickson has been an absolute beast so far (especially against the Steelers) and has me thinking Carl who?

Ogunjobi and Reader have consistently been a force in the middle. Something we haven’t had for a few years since prime Geno.

We got BJ Hill for Billy Price. Try to contain your laughter. Big Grin

These boys are eating!

I know we haven’t played a good OL yet, but JAX doesn’t have one either, so hopefully they’ll pick up right where they left off on Thursday. Rattle the rookie and make him turn the ball over.

Have to also give Hubbard a lot of cred for finally able to get home, he has been the spy guy the first 2 games and was able
to get a shot at the Pig. So much praise so early in the year for this D-Line, it is hard to say who has been our best players so
far, Hendrickson as you said has been an absolute beast but I think Larry O and BJ Hill have too. Wild.

Gonna have to bring back my DT room thread as well. Tupou and Reader have been good to say the least.

Its 10 sacks tied for 4th in the league. He is going by PFF that gives full sacks instead of half sacks. According to PFF 2 players can have a full sack on the same play.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

PFF doesn't give half sacks. If 2 guys get the QB at the same time, they each get credit for a sack.

EDIT: I obv don't read all the replies first... :)

..and we don't have a true 3rd down rush specialist. Ossai was trending that way but never made it to the regular season; then we thought Hodge could do something, but he hasn't. Maybe throw a couple bucks at a guy like Olivier Vernon

I hate the Turds with a seething white hot passion but they are absolutely legit. They not only sacked Justin Fields nine times but they held David Montgomery to only 34 yards on the ground. That’s outstanding run defense. Beating the Steelers and Jaguars is on one level but beating Cleveland is going to take a Herculean effort in all three phases of the game. The Stains finally figured out the winning formula of putting great linemen on both sides of the ball.

Yeah that would be a good idea. I feel ossai couldve been an 8+ sack guy this year as the rotational pass rush specialist, especially the way the interior is playing.

I hear it's got something to do with PFF

The one thing I can't grasp is how New Orleans' other linemen are helping Hendrickson get all these sacks this year Shocked

Trey was eating up that tackle and was basically getting held on every play.  Ridiculous the refs were not calling them because they were so visible.

Has to be frustrating DL but he just kept coming.

Yea, the number of times that LT basically put him in a headlock was insane.

Good old fashion Trench Warfare good to see us winning the line of scrimmage. We’ve obviously added major talent to the line with Reader, Ogunjobi and Hendricks but we have good depth to keep guys fresh with Hill and Tupo playing well. Even Sample has being making plays when he get reps it would have been fun to see this line with a healthy Ossai. I think we’re building something special at DL it reminds me of when we had Dunlap , Atkins , Johnson with key backups like Gilberry making key contributions.

It’s just the Steeler way. I remember a number of years ago I think it was Lance McAlister put together a vine of all their holds from just one game against us. It was insane to see them all one after another.
