Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

If Ossai can be an above average player for this team that is an unbelievably huge boost.

Big number for Carter....

I figured Chase would be graded fairly high in this one. 8 catches for 86 yards and a TD. And he completely Moss’d that dude on his TD.

Obviously the defense was the story of the game, and the main reason we won, but the people saying we didn’t have a single player on offense that wasn’t awful were a little over the top.

Hendrickson wasn't even mentioned among the top in the first post in this thread, which cited a twitter post from PFF Cin Bengals. That list starts with Bates. But the numbers are the same, so I guess it was an oversight on their part.

Great sign for Carter. Hendrickson only played 18 snaps but had a 2 sacks, including the strip sack for the TD.

If Ossai & Carter & Sample are trending towards productive, and it looks like they are, then DL is a much lower draft priority. I mean, Gunter couod be upgraded as the 5th DE. Or Tupou/Tufele as Reader's backuos, but those are depth pieces. And Tupou/Tufele have been decent.

Final PFF numbers:

Offensive Starters:
Burrow: 90.7
Mixon: 79.3
Chase: 83.3
Higgins: 77.1
Boyd: 71.1
Hurst: 65.0
J. Williams: 61.2 (12 sacks, T-1st in league)
Volson: 51.6
Karras: 62.6
Cappa: 67.6
Collins: 57.9 (5 sacks)

Offensive reserves (# of snaps)
Wilcox: 55.7 (498)
Perine: 71.7 (448)
Irwin: 68.0 (287)
Adeniji: 54.1 (220)
M. Thomas: 49.2 (including Baltimore, 198 here)
Asiasi: 45.6 (183)
Taylor: 53.7 (148)
Morgan Jr: 66.4 (77)
D. Sample: 52.3 (39)
T. Williams: 82.9 (36)
Scharping: 60.5 (30)
Evans: NR (18)
Allen: 74.9 (16)
Lassiter II: NR (8)
T. Hill: 57.0 (7)

Absolutely. And Carter had a nice game too.

I'll take that 65.8 from Sharping.

Sharping only played 14 snaps but he had a 76.1 pass blocking grade (63.1 run block).

Small sample size but optimistic.

Not surprised, officials overlook him on every play as well unless he hits the QB....

At this point in the year, he should be registered with starters with Chido (through no fault of his own of course) in the reserves. Promising to see him start to elevate to that 60 range for sure. Was think we HAD to go DB in round 1 but now I'm not sure. Especially if we bring Apple back for a depth piece.

why do you assume apple will be depth? Why do we not want the best player starting when it comes to eli apple?

if he is better than ctb next year,(assuming he gets re-signed) then by all means keep eli at the 2, and ctb the 3rd

there is no shame in not being as good as bengal era eli apple. Especially in ctb's rookie and sophomore years

The logic behind it is, unless Apple is head and shoulders better (it's possible), you go with youth.

CTB is going to be a starter going forward in the near future, if for no other reason than, he will be cost efficient. so he needs all the experience he can absorb.

Do we have an expected return date for Chido?  We have no idea how long he will take to return to form.  Also next season is his contract year.
I can see a high draft pick at CB...

yea but cornerback is a position where the 3rd and 4th string are seeing a good amount of snaps
