Pardoning Flynn?
#1
See if I understand this right. Flynn pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Really, he could plea to anything. As long as he keeps Trump and his families name out of it, For doing this Trump can pardon him and he will go free. Is this correct?

I don't think that move would be very popular for the Don.

He doesn't set the bar high, but a pardon would reach a new level of irresponsibility.

Wasn't he described as a "populist" choice for President?

This conversation reminds me, you should start a new questions only thread like we had on the old board.

Do you mean the ones who still see nothing wrong with a former American general colluding with the Russians to decide the outcomes of our elections?

How serious of a charge can a president pardon? What if Flynn Murdered someone?

I'm pretty sure that a president can pardon any crime.

Any federal crime. A POTUS can't pardon a state level crime.

Then Donald has nothing to worry about as far as the Mueller investigation.

Trump has the authority to stop the Mueller investigation at any time. He has the authority to fire Mueller if he wanted to.

One would think that a pardon is likely coming.  However, I think it will be reserved until things cool down a bit.
