the sanctity of life includes more than a fetus being born. The left understands that actual living deserves consideration including a roof over their head, food, healthcare, a living wage as well as the ability to decide whether they want to give birth or not. Religious Freedoms include the right to be free from religion, especially in public life. It extends to religious minorities as well. IN this current atmosphere the Christian majority
somehow thinks they should be extended special rights, including forcing their personal and moral beliefs onto the entire population. Your so-called religious beliefs should not be able to dictate what healthcare your employees receive let alone mine. Religion is not an excuse to hate and discriminate in a society governed by civil laws. Baking a cake is not a religious statement. Unless you question the "lifestyle" of every person ordering a cake to insure they are moral enough for your services, you are simply discriminating not being religious. If you can't fill a prescription because of you religious beliefs get another damn job that you can do. Everyone has the absolute right to practice their religion. They also have to obey the civil laws of this country and remember their rights don't get to infringe on mine.
Baring Arms: You all already tried to belittle women when they chose to bare their arms by wearing sleeveless dresses and failed. However, if you mean the right to BEAR arms, no one is taking away your right to own a gun. What people, including millions of Republican gun owners, want is common sense gun laws that reflect the reality of 2022's society and the killing ability of militaristic-style arms. 2nd Amendment devotees always seem to ignore the well-regulated militia phrase.
State's Rights: the last time conservatives fought for these it was over the right to hold people in bondage. Now you want to prevent people from having different beliefs and values from you all. The right is afraid of independent thinking and personal freedoms that don't conform to your beliefs. You want to put up barriers to rights other than your believers.
The left wants the United States to achieve its equality goals. It wants each citizen to have an equal voice. It wants the real history of this country taught so that the wrongs of the past aren't repeated in the future. We want a country that reflects the here and now not the 1950s where the only rights belonged to white Christian males.
We have the 14th amendment which includes an equal protection clause. That applies to everyone including those the right hates
