He blocks better than they do too.  Ninja

Likely just paid more or same for Perine's 4.65 speed and career 3.8ypc compared to Boone's 4.44 speed and career 5.3 ypc.

If Boone is so great then why has he only gotten on the field for149 offensive snaps in three years?  Why does he only have 71 carries and 7 receptions.

Perine has played almost 600 in his 4 NFL seasons.  He has 251 carries and 36 receptions.

There is no comparison between these two.

2 points about Gio

-In 2019 he played over 40% of the snaps with Mixon healthy every game. Last year that dropped to about 20% in the games before Mixon got injured

-Last year Mixon's cap hit was only $3.9 million. That goes up to about $8 million this year.

As much as I like Gio it doesn't matter how well he picks up the blitz if he is only going to play a handful of snaps per game.

We are not hard against the cap, but I still think there might be a good chance we release Gio. But it may not happen until training camp when we make sure Mixon is 100% recovered.
