Placing My Bets Tonight Or Tomorrow Night!
#1
A friend of mine is going to drive me out to Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg tonight or tomorrow night to make my sports bets for the year.

I had originally said that I was going to put a grand on each bet because I’m doing well in poker lately so I can cover it, but now I think I’m just going to do a hundred on two and two hundred on two.

I’m thinking I’m going to put $200 on Burrow to win MVP to win $2,600.

He tore up the league last year with no offensive line. I think he has a monster year.

I’m going to put $100 on us winning the AFC Championship to win 1,100.

Another $100 to win the Super Bowl and win 2,000.

$100 on Gibbs to win the Heisman and win 2,000.

Any other bets I should make?!

What are the odds on going 20 and 0?  If its like 10,000 to 1, then a $100 gives the chance of a million! Although don't know if one's heart could take it if starting getting close and a million dollars riding on it.

This.

If I were making bets like this I would at least do a little on 20-0.

I don't know if the casino near me will have that bet but, if they do, I'll lay $10 on it for the chance to win $100,000!

I can't even find that bet anywhere online!

Joe Burrow will be a great QB his entire career, but he may never have a trio of WRs this good again ever in his career.

This is definitely the year to bet on Burrow winning MVP. Even the greatest QBs have better years when they have better receivers.

Take the over on the number of times avocados are mentioned in the GD thread before halftime of the Steelers game.

Well, next year too at minimum.

I went to Vegas last month and put $100 on the Bengals to win the AFC and $50 on Burrow to win MVP.

Not a huge amount of money to put on the line, but if I win, It'll pay for another trip to Vegas!!

Really wish I would have bet the Bengals to win the AFC when I was there in 2021!

Bets are about winning money not rooting for the hometown team. I would go for the Bills winning the Super Bowl. And maybe Jackson as MVP.

These are the 3 that I'm betting on as well.  I came so close to $20,000 last year for a Super Bowl win that I can't help but trying again.
I think Burrow has a great shot this year to win MVP.  I think this is the best bet really.

The Bengals are going to be rolling this year!

That's the great part about living in Greater Cincinnati- you can get to the casinos in Indiana on short drives now that sports betting is legal!

As soon as it's legalized in Cincinnati (hopefully by the first of the year), it's going to be I'm going to put a bunch of bets on them every year!

I put $500 on them winning the Super Bowl (the week of, not before the season) and my friend talked me into not taking the points, so I lost!

Bang Head

I was going to bet a grand on each but I figured that would stress me out too much, so a hundred on each will do and just winning one will still win a decent amount of money. Might put $200 on Burrow MVP or one of the other ones. The addition of Hurst and an improved offensive line should have Burrow having a HUGE year.

Might also go for a hundred on Mixon for the rushing title because he was third in yards last year behind a horrible line.

Know you don't get the odds your looking for on this bet

but feel good about the Bengals going over on 9.5 win total

I thought about that but the odds are why I don't like it with just 2-1.

Thought about maybe looking for other teams with decent over/unders and parlaying them (if that's even possible).

Have any other good ones?

Didn't get there last week but still planning on going this week.

I'm looking at the over/under bets (I'm not going to bet them but I was wondering), and Baltimore's is 9.5 but only 1/5 confidence that hit the over on this betting advice site; we're at over 10 with 5/5 confidence(!), there's no line for the Browns ( Hilarious ), and the Steelers are 5/5 to bet the under at 7.5!

Hilarious

I said I wasn't going to bet those but, if I can parlay every team in the division and get decent odds, I might! (The Barstool app on my phone isn't letting me, so I doubt I can in the casino.)

Might lay a hundred on Brady to win MVP to win $900 (and, obviously, still a hundred on Burrow to win 1,300).

I'd lay a hundred on the Bills to at least make the Super Bowl and a hundred on Allen to win MVP, and I know you're not supposed to bet (or not bet) on emotion, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Chase for most receiving yards is $100 to win $900 and Mixon for most rushing yards is betting $100 to win $1400.

I think that Mixon pick is an underrated bet because, like I said, our line was horrible last year and he was still third in the league in rushing! The thing is, Taylor had the most with 606 yards more, and history shows that backs with that many carries (over 370) and that many yards (over 1800) generally average 900 yards less and, if you take out Eric Dickerson, they average over 1,100 yards less. The site I'm looking at projects Taylor to have 1,325 yards, and Mixon should beat that. Chubb from Cleveland was in 2nd, but, with the Watson shit-show, I don't see him repeating those numbers.

Just saw McPherson wins $1,400 on a hundred dollar bet for most kicking points, but I don't really like that because we'll score so many touchdowns.

Chase is a hundred to win $2,000 for offensive player of the year, so might do that one.

I initially only wanted to bet a total of $400, but looks like I could be betting more!

That's the bright side of not having many expenses and no children that I know of!

Mixon is good but I wouldn’t bet on him leading the league in rushing. The Bengals QB/WRs are too good to make this a “running team”. I think guys like Taylor or Henry will have more yards (if all are healthy) because they will get more carries as they will be the #1 option for their teams.

I actually think Chubb would be a good bet to lead the league in rushing with Watson being out for over 1/2 of the season.

I hate to say it but I think the Steelers are gonna be better than alot of people think. They don't go under .500 very often and I think over 7.5 is the bet.

I think we need to have a good start to the season and I am going to be very nervous / anxious leading up to week 1 vs the Steelers.

I think the lack of passing threat to start the season will hurt Chubb because teams will load the box.

I don’t think we’ll be a running team but I still think Mixon can get 20+ carries a game with at least one score because I think we’ll be inside the red zone a lot. Being a good/great passing team will only help Mixon.

If Mixon and the starters on the OL stay healthy I disagree with Clark. He could lead the league in rushing.

These guys we brought in are run blockers with great technique and Pollack is good at coaching up this aspect more than pass.

But this also depends on how well Chris Evans plays as he is the darkhorse.

Long time reader, wanted to finally create an account and give some other bets on this.

If you are using DK Sportsbook to place your bet be sure to look at some of the Player Future Parlays

Click NFL - Player Futures - Future Parlays on the app

Some that stick out involving our players are: Burrow to lead Reg Season Pass Yards, J Taylor to lead Reg Season Rush Yards, J Jefferson to lead regular season reception yards: +60,000.... That means $10 will pay $6k+ if it hits.

Another example that stood out is: Most Reg Season Pass Yard - Mahomes, Reg Season Rush Yards - Najee Harris, Reg Season Rec Yards - Chase.... +150,000... meaning $10 wins $15k+ if it hits

Again, these are all long shot bets but there's tons of parlays involving Burrow/Chase that pay insane amount and worth a few dollar sprinkles here and there.

I'm getting more and more faith that Chase will dominate this season and be the leader in receiving yards.

I also think Burrow could dominate and lead the league in passing, but I doubt they'll have two players from the same team in those bets.

On those bets, what if we sit our starters in week 18 and I lose that way? That would SUCK.

I'm heading out there tonight to place the bets and I'm wondering what other bets I should place.

I'm having doubts on Gibbs to win the Heisman but the value might be too good to pass up and I'm thinking about betting another long shot in Will Anderson from Bama just in case.

Let me know if anyone has any last minute advice on bets to make!
