So government agencies towed the line of 'dont worry, it's gonna be ok.' why? Cause there wasn't anything the general public could do anyway. If they'd said 'wear a mask and get a test' then people would've said 'why aren't there any masks or tests?' and the answer was that the government stockpiled them.

So when the masks and tests became available, suddenly it was 'masks and tests are a good idea.' So people used masks and tests.

Which worked until trump hit record unemployment and crappy numbers. Then we got Karen's and Facebook physicians telling us how the hoax virus wasn't impacted by masks, using outdated propaganda as proof.

Yea, Fauci had said in Feb that there was no need to start wearing masks yet. Conservatives turned that into "masks are not needed" and then "masks do not work".
