That's all.

I debate lines of thinking less than political parties.  I'm more amused by people saying "Why are we worrying about guns when our diets are more likely to kill us" righter after complaining that Michelle Obama is a transvestite tyrant for worrying about our diets.  This meme just seems laughably self-serving in the sense that (traditionally) the same people who are against gun control (myself included, in a sense) have been against the regulations that aim to reduce the other deaths.

Let's see....

Heart disease, cancer, tobacco, obesity, stroke, respiratory disease, diabetes, kidney failure, drunk driving, and prescription drug overdose can all be related to things that this country attempted to regulate or change with no small amount of opposition.  It's not a right-vs-left argument, but for right wingers to make the argument that gun deaths aren't a big deal because a lot of other things they don't want to regulate ARE a big deal is just laughable.

It just doesn't seem like a coherent argument unless you say (as I would) I'm against regulations so I don't care if people kill themselves with booze, food, guns, or drugs.  You don't say "Guns shouldn't be regulated because they cause less deaths than a bunch of other stuff I don't want to see regulated."

Well said, and I agree, I too debate lines of thinking more than political parties.  Using that line of thinking in that meme, "Islamic" terrorism shouldn't even be an afterthought since it hasn't killed enough people to even be any earlier than at the end of the list.  That type of logic is used wherever certain outcomes are desired, but dropped when other desired outcomes are in conflict.

I just read that stat: it is right here, in the little box above what I am typing now.

See, you can do what other people you quote do, and just make up a stat. And, you can also make up cool graphs to illustrate the stats you made up if you really want to impress people who believe everything they read. Have fun!

I wish you bad luck, again, from time to time so that you will be conscious of the role of chance in life and understand that your success is not completely deserved and that the failure of others is not completely deserved either.

Not that she is making a good argument, but it's not like people are manufacturing guns to sell illegally.  A more valid comparison would be selling meth in Ohio where it is illegal but buying it off store shelves in western PA where it is legal.

I'm just sayin'.

I'm pretty sure there have not been 500K abortions in the U.S. during the past 6 months.

It is entirely feasible, take a look at some of the totals throughout the years.

It's possible that all Plan B's sold were considered actual abortions.

It's also possible and unpleasant to admit that the last thing this country needs are an extra 1 million unwanted kids every year.
