Have to think if either of them was headed to IR they would have made the move prior to cutting guys.

Can't if you want them to be able to come back sometime in 2021. Pretty positive you can only have guys come off your IR during the season if they were on your 53 man roster when they went on the IR which means they need to make it to your 53 man roster, then go on IR, then you can fill their spot with someone else.

Winston Rose, wasn't he consistently burnt last season?

Rep points for taking the time to show who was kept after day before cuts.  Not the normal Bull and Trash Talk on here.  The Bengals Back-Ups in case of Injuries are important. Good Post.

I thought you were joking when you wrote "per Richard Skinner."

Anyway, what does a practice squad guy get per year?

lol...joke?  who me?

PS players with  2 or fewer years make $9300 per game.  With 3 or more years they make $14,000 per game

Per game? But what if they don’t play?

Every game they're on the PS for.

So if someone is on the PS for all 17 games, that's $238,000.00 for the year, if you're a 3+ veteran.

While I am happy to see Trent Irwin back on the team and think he deserved a spot, is anyone else concerned at all with the lack of a QB on the squad?

They supposedly were targeting a couple of them for the PS but it didn't pan out.  Reid Stinnett signed back to the Dolphins PS and Will Grier didn't clear waivers and was claimed by the Cowboys

Practice squad players are not paid per game, that number is per week. And, it is reduced on their check so the payments continue all year, not just all season. It's not active player money, but still and all not bad to play a game.

If Burrow gets injured, the team will just sign some Joe off the street and excuse the season as a loser due to injury. Fred has a whole thread on how injures justify the losing. It's quite detailed and all sounds perfectly logical until you see just how many times the team has fallen prey to the excuse over the years. As long as the fans buy into it, they'll just keep going with it.

Ohhh, that is the nicest looking PS I have seen in my Bengal's life as a fan honestly.... Smirk

Kept everyone I wanted us to keep. Bet a lot of these players play a significant role this year in a winning season.

Hope I am correct.
