Pre Combine Mock

1) Reggie Rangland ILB Alabama
https://youtu.be/l9OilbFAZx0

A real thumper that would make an already solid
group potentially great. Although I worry a bit about
his ability to be a three down player I couldn't argue
if we picked him at 24.

2) Will Fuller WR Notre Dame
https://youtu.be/EjOcsUIFDGU

Just a true game breaker with big play ability .
If we loose any of our top guys to free agency
a pick like this would fit the bill. Big time player!

3) Keanu Neal FS Florida
https://youtu.be/_5nzVdpia6M

The chances of us keeping both safeties is very remote at best.
In any case let's hope that Iloka is one of the top priorities to retain.
I'm a big fan of Reggie Nelson but I believe he may just be outside the price
range.

4) Malik Collins DT Nebraska
https://youtu.be/RUXXTwJrpEo

I'm a little biased with this pick and definitely would take him
a round earlier. One of the best first steps that you'll see from an interior
player. I'd like to see what our new dline coach can get out of a talent
like this because he'd be a steal in the fourth.

5) Max Tuerk OL USC

One of the more athletically gifted big guys in the draft.
He's played multiple positions across the line but he may
fit best at the center position. He suffered a knee injury
which cut his season short but this would be a value pick.

6) DJ White CB Georgia Tech
https://youtu.be/eja6EVq077Q

I've seen him all over the place on where he'll be drafted
but he's a very solid player with good feel for the position.
I'm not sure who we keep this off-season on the back end
but we need to draft a cornerback for depth.

7) Duke Williams WR Auburn
https://youtu.be/h3EEPFhrZ4Y

This is a flyer pick on a player with upside that made some bad
choices that got him kicked off the team. He was one of the top
wide receivers in the SEC coming into the season . It's one those
prove it or loose it type of deals.

I like that late round gem along with Geronimo Allison.
My first two in this mock was going to be crazy to some.

1) Austin Johnson DT Penn State
https://youtu.be/YY6SoLUVAOI

Totally different prospect than Devin Still much more active.
70 tkls for an interior player is worth a nod. Motor runs very hot!

2) Keyarris Garret WR Tulsa
https://youtu.be/nixOMFGpIyM

Very intintriguing prospect as Thomas but led the fbs in receiving.
If he goes to the combine and put up a 4.4 you'll get the Randy Moss comparisons.

Keep a chaser on these players at the combine.

I like it however we should go DT earlier, I think we'll resign at least 1 safety and hopefully it's Iloka.

I just don't think Ragland is worth a First round pick being a one trick thumpin' pony LB'er.

If this had Jaylon Smith in the first i would love it, i just don't think Ragland should be taken
until the 2nd round. We already have Maualuga who is pretty much the same player. We need
an athletic Linebacker more than a run stopping thumper.

Let the D-line stop the run and the Linebackers clean up.

The rest of the Draft is very good though, i like all of the rest of the picks. We just need to get
a LB'er that can cover. That is definately not Ragland.

Hopefully he can do better in his pro day which will be at Auburn.
It's a horrible time but maybe he has a good showing. The combine time was a disaster. Practice Squad maybe?!

I agree with most that you've said but Rangland has the speed that's not measured on the watch.
He makes noise between the chalk and ML loves it! If you go back and look he's drafted those guys and they're gold for the most part . He loves Alabama players because he always shows up at pro day.
Courtney  Upshaw got away from him but don't be suprised if hes signed.

I was about to say that it couldn't happen, then I remembered that Maualuga is going into the second, of his three year deal.  However, I would think that Pauly G. is lobbying hard for an athletic LB that can do it all.  I really don't see the Bengals spending their top pick on a 2 down player, with a serviceable one already under contract for the next two seasons.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

We drafted an athletic linebacker last year that on many boards was a day two
. So why don't you think that they'd draft a day one on day one. I mean who do you want that isn't 220 lbs and not coming off a shredded knee. Are we that hard up for a linebacker?  Give me Rangland or Perry and I'm happy as a pig in slop.
