The money part of the trade

The Reds probably pocketed over 7 million dollars these last two days with the trades. They did allocate about 14 or 15 million of next years available salary though. The payroll didn’t end up as high this year as we thought. It feels like Puig was just thrown in to save the Reds near 4 mil.

Yup and that money can potentially go a long way in the off season to securing needs for the 2020 team. I'm starting to like these moves since the Reds DO have a few hot bats down in AAA and lower just itching to prove themselves on the big stage.
