RIP Former First Lady Rosalyn Carter

Mrs Carter died Sunday in Plains at age 96 just a couple of days after entering hospice care. She had been suffering from Alzheimers. The Carters had been married for over 77 years.

Mrs Carter had a special focus on mental health during her time as First Lady. Post-presidency she was always by Jimmy's side as they fought to make the world a better place. She was a devout Christian who demonstrated through her actions what that meant

Seems like she lived a pretty good life with a 77(!) year marriage and made it to 96. Can't knock that. RIP.

I'm old enough to remember Carter in office and all that went with that but the grace with which He and Rosalyn lived their lives is envious.

Genuinely good people who loved each other.

I wish we had more people in politics like them now.
