Found dead in his apartment 9 days short of turning 39.

Damn... Seems like just yesterday he was still playing. His nickname, the Barbarian, is pretty fitting. The sport he played seems to eat its own. We won't know for sure, but his post career antics sound a lot like CTE.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

That's a shame. He was one of my favorite players to watch for a couple years there mid-late '00s, and I don't even care for the Cowboys.

This guy was a damn fun RB to watch even though he was on the Cowboys.

He died of heat stroke. His apt temp was set to 91 with the heat running and the hot water tap was open. Apparently he liked to work out in sauna like conditions

Fueled by the pursuit of greatness.

Wondered if that would kill a person...

Even a dude in great shape. Hydrate up people.
