It seems CTB is not a very good tackler, but good in coverage; although I have nothing to back that up.

CTB is a very physical tackler, I don't know how it seems he is not a very good tackler to you lol

His Missed Tackle % has been 9.8% and 7.4% in his two years in the league, which is pretty poor.  Physical tackler, yes.  Good tackler, no.

It's why I said "seems" as all I had was the "eyeball test". When we drafted him I thought he may make the move to FS, but then I "saw" how bad he was a tackling and said he needs to stay at CB

"Eyeball Test" validated.

Thanks for the percentages, guess Bfine was right and CTB needs to work on wrapping up better instead of going for the big hit all the time.

Because yeah, he likes to hit and plays very physical.

I wouldn't call him a bad tackler, but those percentages back you up.

As those percentages show CTB can improve in wrapping up instead of just going for the big hit. I have seen him go for the big hit instead at times.

Often, big hitters are poor tacklers because they are focusing on trying to lower the boom instead of form tackling and simply getting the guy on the ground.

Of all the groups, this one needs a vet CB brought in. This is to give much needed depth. Bring experience that can help the younger ones. Plus give us an edge in 5 WR sets. You can't have enough good CBs.

So true.

Stephon Gilmore or Xavien Howard would be nice additions to our Cornerback room...

He has a very high missed tackle percentage.

Yeah, I see that, I was wrong Rfaulk. CTB needs to learn to wrap up better instead of going for the big hit all the time.

I'm disappointed that you could only vote for two options. Ideally I'd vote for 7-26 and Josh. But I don't think Josh will have better stats at the end of the year, I just think he is a player who has more of a future on this team. So really I wanted a whole different poll.

But yeah the CB room could land darn near any where. If players progress and are healthy, they could crack the top 10. If they don't progress we could be in the bottom 3rd.

I agree this CB room is hard to rate. It could be anything from terrible to great simply because of all the new blood. For example if Dax Hill takes to being back at his normal position CB suddenly shoots up in quality. I can say the same about both CTB and DJ Turner - both have had both good and bad flashes so far and if the good is where they grow then this could be a strong CB room.

He is physical and brings some pop. Just needs to learn when to wrap and when to pop.

There's always been something about Ivy I liked other than injuries. He might work his way to being a solid backup. Newton I think is a player to watch in the next year or so if not sooner. As for ranking them..tough to tell, but they're in better shape than quite a few other teams.  CTB needs to stay in one piece for a full season and iron out his deficiencies..
