Whistle blowers are important but the definition of a whistle blower is getting out of hand in some cars.

A true whistle blower still faces prosecution that's why it's important to go through channels that protect you. It's the governments job to keep their secrets from the public and those who defy the government will be prosecuted. There is a cost to whistle blowing and I'm ok with that cost and I think the majority of whistle blowers would also accept those to get out the truth.

These governed leakers have been called whistle blowers by the fake news which is unfortunate because it's only because the media doesn't like Trump.

Both sides seem to be pretty liberal with the use of the terms "whistle blower" and "leaker", depending on whether it benefits or hurts their side.

Snowden leaks actually shed light on a serious issue with gov spying. The obama people releasing Trump calls with the Australian prime minister and Mexican president is just petty stuffs.

You are correct though it's too bad this stuff is manipulated.
