I would have thought the Red Sox would have pursued Drury over Pham. I guess they like Pham for a short rental.

yeah, he was at .235 for awhile and just two days ago, Boston was listening to offers on just about anybody and now the trade FOR a player. Strange.

There was no point in signing him so trading him for anything is a perfectly fine move.

No problem with moving on from Pham whatsoever. I'd rather see what the farm has or give Almora his at bats. I thought that he dropped off other teams radars because his average was pretty low so I wouldn't care if they only got a trainer for him, to be honest.
