Nuke Laloush or however you spell it. He's just as dumb as as former hard throwing Red, Nick Massett. Million dollar arm with a 5 cent head. Throw every pitch as hard as you can, don't change speed and look shocked when Major League hitters blast you back to the minor leagues.

I'm not as opposed to the Strop deal as some are. Romano was adding little to the pitching staff not to mention I never liked the name Romano. I can't stand that whiny, nasal Romano on TV.. Not that he had much to do with it.. Nervous

Ehhh...after Siri was DFAed and subsequently taken by Seattle not much surprises me with fringe pitchers.

I'm more surprised that Sal Romano ever made it to the majors and actually stayed there for three years. Then I have to remind myself the kind of pitchers the Reds were trotting out there for a couple years.

Majors: 1.470 WHIP
AAA: 1.382 WHIP
AA: 1.330 WHIP
A+: 1.308 WHIP
A: 1.494 WHIP
Rk: 1.508 WHIP

He's literally never had a level of baseball where his WHIP was anywhere near good. He has a career 4.31 ERA, 1.411 WHIP in the minors. He's only had one partial season in AAA where he allowed less than 9.0 H/9, and that year he allowed 8.9 H/9. His stuff never beat anyone. He just lucked out that he was around at a time when the Reds constantly had the worst starting pitching staff in MLB for 3 years or whatever straight.

Not surprised he cleared waivers.

For once we agree on something LL. Romano was a zilch and wasn't gonna become much more than zilch. If he becomes the Cy Young winner then fine, but that shit ain't happening.

We will see how he does with new staff.  Driveline may help him quite a bit.
