As some of you may know, my Dad passed away in March of last year. He was a season ticket holder and I grew up going to games with him. The Bengals were important to us.

Lately, there's been some weird stuff happening that has let me know he's enjoying the ride and that there was/is good things to come.

After my mom passed, my Dad would constantly find pennies in situations where he was reminded of my Mom (pennies from heaven). It was bizarre. I rarely encountered such situations, but those same things are starting to happen with me in relation to him/the Bengals.

One of the last things we talked about before he passed was the Bengals. Before the playoff game at PBS my wife and I were getting ready and on the floor of our closet was a heads up penny. Kind of weird considering I've literally never found a penny in my house before.

My sister gave my wife a Bengals coat awhile back. She never wore it until we went to Nashville for the game last week. When she put her coat on she reached in the pocket and there was a penny in there. Kind of crazy considering she NEVER wore this coat before. Of course we won the game and my brother in law and I smoked a cigar someone gave me at his funeral.

I'm not sure why I'm sharing this but I just thought it was pretty cool. If I find another penny or something else weird happens before the game this week I will let you all know. We can all bet on the Bengals money line together lol.

I refuse to "bet the house" on it, or allow myself to get too hopeful, because only ONE team will win it all, this year, (so there's a 75% chance the Bengals won't) and... I just don't know if I'm ready for that heartbreak.

HOWEVER... it just feels like it's our time.

Nothing wrong with sharing your human experience and putting your feelings into writing. This is good community for sharing such thoughts. Please keep finding pennies since we're going up against Mahomes. Who Dey

Weezy, thanks for putting yourself out there with this.  Know that you're not alone.  I think of my dad every time my hands go into the sky after a Bengals TD.

I feel you

My father passed away this last October and one of my bigger wishes the last couple seasons he was alive was to see success/playoff win for him to have something to smile about. Sadly it didn't happen but I like to think he's looking down smiling now.

Weezy, thanks for sharing. I think that's really cool you're finding those pennies.
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

My dad passed away in November 1981 -- "the November to remember."  Sometimes I'm sad that he didn't live to see the '82 Super Bowl, and then I think that of course he saw it.

I know it hurts not being able to share this with your dad in person. I've actually thought about that a lot watching all of the old videos and the new ones of folks being excited all across the town. Lots of older folks were pretty young back then, and lots more never did see that next playoff win.

Thank God you have that connection with your father. Whether or not its your dad saying "hey this is pretty cool!" (could be!), its awesome that you shared those experiences together and you can reflect on your memories with him as the team fights onward.

Really cool Weezy, I have had these experiences before. I don't believe in coincidences. Rock On

Good post. It's stories like this that give me hope that there is some sort of connection between the living and the dead even though I'm not a believer in the traditional "story".

I have had countless paranormal experiences many that others have shared with me. I have zero doubts in life after death as we are energy. Glad you Dad is still communicating with you.

Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry that he's not here to share this with you.

I've also had fond reminders of my friends and loved ones who were big fans but didn't get to stick around to enjoy this. My father-in-law who shared our season tickets for that most miserable decade of the '90s. My Mom's second husband who shared them for the early '00s. At least he got to see a winning team. Even some guy on a forum I run that used to burn out every anger emoji when we'd lose.

I wish they could have been here to share this with us. I trust they're watching from that big sports bar in the sky. You're missed, friends.

I think it’s absolutely possible. People just have to be open to recognizing it.

Someone else confident that his father, while not here physically, is very much a part of this.

As many of you know from the old board, my wife and I lost a 5 month old son 7 years ago.

I don't have any Bengals related story about him, but I remember when he was on life support (he didn't wake up one morning), my wife and I took turns taking breaks. I went to the "hotel" in the hospital and took a nap. I had a dream that my wife, my other 2 sons and our nanny were sitting in the exam room and he was smiling and giggling.

My wife woke me up and said "the angels came and got him and he's gone" literally as I was hugging him in my dream. I don't believe in coincidences either.

I prefer my VHS tapes.

You do realize that internet porn is free because they use it to program you through mind control subliminal messages, right?

No wonder I have an uncontrollable urge to buy apple pies at the grocery store!
and I don't like dessert food!
I am switching to VHS as well.
