His very best voters are self-identified Republicans who nonetheless are registered as Democrats. It’s a coalition that’s concentrated in the South, Appalachia and the industrial North, according to data provided to The Upshot by Civis Analytics, a Democratic data firm."

Patriotic attitudes by year:
2001-2008
America is great, listen to the government
2008-present
America is NOT great, protest the government
I realize context matters, but I can't imagine telling a republican in 2003 or so that in 2016 people are going to be booed and escorted out of a republican political rally for having the gall to say America is great.

NSA spying kept us safe after 9/11. Wait, nevermind. Actually it's big brother spying.
Quote:A Muslim woman was kicked out of a Donald Trump rally on Friday night for no apparent reason. The woman, Rose Hamid, told CNN that she “came to the rally to let Trump supporters see what a Muslim looks like.” She stood silently with a t-shirt that read “I Come In Peace.”
About halfway through the rally, held in Rock Hill, South Carolina, some people in the crowd “turned pretty ugly” toward the woman, shouting “epithets.” She was then escorted out by security.
Trump commented on Hamid as she was being ejected. “There is hatred against us that is unbelievable. It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred,” Trump said.
Trump has stoked antipathy against Muslims by calling for a total ban on Muslim immigration into the U.S. Since making the announcement Trump’s standing in the polls has only improved.
Your anger and ego will always reveal your true self.

According to this, America isn't so great and hasn't been in quite a while.

Thugs mostly it seems. But they intend to make America Great...again. I suppose great for bullies and those intolerant of any possible opposition?
Great, another hater thread.
You and the other boobs on this thread failed to take into account that there were 7000 people at a Trump rally....and just maybe, just maybe a few may get out of line.
But it's easier and more simpleton of you to just go ahead and make generalizations.

Actually she was escorted out for protesting the rally.
Your article says that she "stood up in protest" and the event staff was told to remove any protesters from the rally. The audience was also asked to point out anyone trying to protest the event.
So she knows that if she protest, she will be removed. She and her partner, Marty Rosenbluth (nice Muslim name), decide to stand up in silent protest. They get pointed out for protesting and then actually get removed for doing what they were not supposed to do, which was protest.
Gotta love the spin though. Headline uses the words "kicked out" as in to imply forceful removal. Then it suggest that she was removed for "no apparent reason" and they try to infer that it was "for being a Muslim". When in reality, the security staff politely requested that she follow them to the exit, and the reason they did that is not for "no reason" or because she was Muslim, but because she was protesting.
