We may have, and I will argue in favor of Irish whiskey all day. But every ancestor I know of but one was German speaking, and that one was Ukrainian. That being said, there is a streak of red hair on my mother's side like no tomorrow, but since that actually comes from Germanic blood IIRC, it's hard to say.

My tree goes back to Scotland, France and England, and a trace of Comanche. But I had genome testing and the root genome was from the Sami people in northern Sweden.

I did the Ancestry.com one.  Basically because they had a $20.00 off sale right before Christmas and I already had all my genealogy work on the site.

My mother is 100% Italian. In the sense that her grandparents on one side and her great-grandparents on the other came over on the boat and everyone married into full blooded families.

She refuses to understand that even people who STILL live in Italy may not be 100% Italian due to the thousands of years of invaders and trade.
