Stop doing it!

1)Noah Sewell LB Oregon
https://youtu.be/fo8a4tvqLdE
A great linebacker prospect with technique that just needs to be refined because he has physical gifts.
It comes down to the fundamentals and its going to be interesting to see how he takes the new coaching philosophy. 1/27/24 I have to see it at the combine but I love you to be in Bengaldom . I've just seen alot this year! buddy & I'm sticking because we can afford to get your nutrition right and make you into a monster.

2) Xavier Hutchinson WR Iowa State
https://youtu.be/dE4MvvIi5Y4
The big body will fool you from a speed perspective because hes one of the best deep ball trackers in the country. There were a few games that he went missing but you can see the traits. He reminds me of Boyd coming out of Pitt.

3) Tyrique Stevenson CB Miami "The U"
https://youtu.be/eMIdpIFuwnU
One of my favorite cornerbacks in the draft! He brings the size and physicality to be a difference maker at the next level. He'll also bring some special teams abilities but I'm not sure if the tools are explosive enough in that area for the league.A Georgia transfer who missed out on a ring but played the long game to see the field and improve his stock. Solid prospect!

4) Tuli Tuipulotu DL USC

I wouldn't rule this guy being a 5T at the next level with added weight and enhanced coaching at the next level. The motor runs side of the road hot but consistency in his hand and developing secondary pass rushing moves could blow the doors off. Tough grade right now for me as much as I've watched.

5) Darnell Washington TE Georgia
https://youtu.be/yXra9KoKNTU
I just picture him running down the seam and catching bullets from Burrow to move the chains! For his size this guy is a tremendous athlete and a monster as a blocker once he learns how to " really" use his body at the point of attack. He'll be in a crowded Georgia position room but keep him on your radar!

6) Matt Bergerson LT Syracuse
https://youtu.be/lHawQRFyF6k
The Canadian with great upside! This guy is an underrated player to the masses but in one of the rooms at PBS/ Paycor his name is on a board.
I'll always call it Paul Brown Stadium but Paycor is just for revenue purposes and its necessary in the grand scheme of things.

7) Ji'Ayir Brown S Penn State
https://youtu.be/UCrVaL77ZgQ
A local product that helped to form one of the best duo's in the country last season. If he can somehow duplicate his solid play from a season ago then your looking at a day two prospect moving up boards like a Nightcrawler. I also like a QB in this spot or from rounds 4-7. I'm not a Brandon Allen guy. Period

Just stop it.

Sewell would be a solid, logical choice if the Bengals wanted a starting LB and valued LB enough to take one that early.
We could also end the Chase vs Sewell debate since Bengals would (kind of) have both!  Smirk

However, I just don't think the Bengals would care to draft a LB that high.
They drafted their starters in Pratt and Wilson both in the 3rd round, having them sit for a year before taking over.
I could see the Bengals making a decision to either re-sign or tag Pratt and then potentially take another LB as early as Rd 3, but not sooner.

I'll personally be hoping/expecting the early part of the Bengals' selections to consist of offensive weapons and maybe another OL if LG still isn't solved by season's end.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!

Sorry for Party Rocking!

With the way the Bengals use their linebackers, I just don't a LB being taken in round 1. Having 2 on the field and mostly using guys in sub packages really lessens the need for a 3-down guy like the old days.
