What about their stances on illegal immigration? Pretty much calling for open borders and saying that, once here, if they commit ANOTHER crime, they shouldn't be deported.

Christianity has become a tool of convenience for a lot of folks in the US.

The foundation (the OT) is basically Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Lot, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and everyone else fleeing oppression, their own stupidity, natural disasters and war. They end taking refuge in lands that take them in and in the NT they're encouraged to spread the word because the lands are blessed.

In America, since the lands are blessed, we're supposed to make sure no one else enjoys that blessing, even if we have to kill their kids.

Modern Christians are doing their best to act unChristian.

In some of the cases. It's a pretty big set of books. I guess "take refuge where it works out" would be more accurate in a general sense.

Either way, I don't think the end results in the Bible and the paths taken line up well today with the attitude of many American Christians in regard to accepting people coming here to escape violence, religious persecution, poverty or catastrophe.

So you want them to base our laws on Christianity? The problem is the 1% can't pay for all of this, and every other Democrat wet dream, so until they start informing everyone they are going to have to pay more in taxes, it's a bunch of pandering.

We could just raise taxes on everyone in a regressive way by placing tariffs on goods from a country we get a lot of things from and then squander the money.

You certainly would have to raise everyone's taxes, but I'm all on board now.  Let's do free college, single payer healthcare, $20 minimum wage, we will cut the military by half, 70% tax on anything over $500,000, and no taxes on the lower 50% of earners.  If someone can guarantee all of that, I'll give it a shot.

Hell no thats not what i want. Thats what the right wants. I just want some consistency. Not somebody forcing a women to give birth to an unwanted child against her will because it is in their religious beliefs. And then in their next act putting kids in jail and denying them healthcare. Do you see any hypocrisy in that?

Tell the fortune 500 companies that pay no taxes and the billionaires literally asking to be taxed to pay up. Quit giving corporate handouts. Legalize weed and federally tax it. And maybe their will be less fake ass religious people complaining about having to help poor sick refugee kids.
