It'll take time but Draft Kings has already said they are entering the arena.

They have been in the arena for years.

Draft Kings is legalized sports gambling.  You just bet on players instead of teams.

Here in Tennessee you can buy lottery tickets with the hyper-Christain Duck Dynasty crew on them.

I think the only reason they opposed same sex marriage is because they could see any way for them to make money off it.

The Bible may not be too keen on the lust for wealth and gambling and all that, but I'm pretty sure Jim Bakker and his cronies changed that in the 1980s or so.  God didn't foresee how awesome America was going to be when he wrote or said all that Bible stuff, anyways.

LOVE IT!

I'm wondering if JACK downtown will now get a sportsbook (assuming it passes in Ohio)? A worker there told me that they weren't going to try to get an exception to get it legalized, but now that it could be legal in Ohio, I have to think that they're pumped about it. A bar at The Banks tweeted out that they're going to get it, and I can only see it being a major moneymaker for Cincinnati.

I probably should order one of those Bakker Versions of the Bible. I need a little more wiggle room in my sin life than my old King James Version allows. ThumbsUp

Well, just like when PA started allowing casinos and used all that profit to reduce our property taxes...as promised.... Ninja

I'm sure states will use their newfound taxable resource to increase services and ease the burden on their citizens!  Ninja

Meh, I'm fine if people want to waste their money on gambling. There will always be people there to make money off of the rubes. Have at.

No, not really they have been in fantasy sports which through semantics and finagling was allowed which was kind of interesting in it self.

The reason the Draft Kings move would be huge is they have the online platform and reach to scale this quickly. I am curious to see if federal regulations will come in to limit the ability to place wagers online.

I'm just thinking about how downtown Cincinnati could become a HUGE destination spot during March Madness and even football season.

I have to think this will be HUGE for the local economy.

It increased tourism to the area. People travel as far as Elizabeth Forward to go to Rivers.

From a purely legal standpoint this case is another one in favor of "states rights" over the federal government. Same issue with legalizing marijuana and establishing sancuary cities. Basically the Supreme Court is telling the Federal government that they can not make state or local authorities enforce federal laws.
