Supreme Court rules Fla's death penalty sentencing unconstitutional
#21
Death penalty debates usually never address the real issue.  People argue back and forth about if it is morally correct or if it is an effective deterrent to crime, but that is not what the debate should be about.  It should really be about if our criminal justice system is perfect and flawless enough to be given the power to decide life and death.  When you look at it that way it is clear that our system makes way too many mistakes to give it the power to take a man's life.

The strange thing is that the same people who usually criticize our government as corrupt and/or ineffective support the death penalty.

Let's just do what the British did and dump them in Australia.
No papers, but a fighting chance.
