I went season by season and counted on pro football reference. 1988 with 294 has this team beat by quite a bit. Best was 2015 with 266.

Here is both points for and points against.

As you can see it is not just the offense this year.  We also have the 3rd best point differential since 1988 (only behind '05 and '15)

This is good stuff. We have a team on the rise. Still a young team with maybe a couple missing pieces, but this team is going ti be something special in the very near future. Love our Bengals.
