Terrorist attack in NYC
#1
Being reported now. Multiple shootings at Brooklyn Subway station, and first responders have located numerous undetonated devices..... (and I'm not saying which terrorists, but with undetonated explosives it certainly fits the description of a terrorist attack by someone)

Time to dust off the thoughts and prayers.

Quote:The New York Police Department confirmed that a shooting took place at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday morning during peak commuting hours for employees headed into Manhattan.

An NYPD spokeswoman confirmed to Fox News Digital that a shooting took place at the 36th St. station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, but she did not immediately have information on how many people were wounded and whether a suspect had been taken into custody.

FDNY told Fox News that firefighters responded to a call for smoke in the D-N-R lines. Upon arrival, units discover multiple people shot and several undetonated devices at the same location. It continues to be an active scene.

A graphic photo circulated Twitter Tuesday morning showing several people lying on the blood soaked floor of the station. One man applied pressure to what appeared to be another man’s leg wound. A red item of clothing was tied around the wound to slow bleeding. A puddle of blood was seen next to a second man grasping his cell phone, as backpacks and purses were strewn across the platform.

The department’s NYPD News Twitter account warned the public to avoid the 36th St. and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn due to an investigation and said emergency vehicles and delays should be expected.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul tweeted that she has been briefed on the developing situation in Brooklyn and will work with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the NYPD to provide updates once they become available.

Guy was wearing a transit uniform and a gas mask. Doesn't sound like a typical shooting. This was a shooting to draw people in for the explosions. It will be interesting to find out what was in those undetonated devices.

Suspect is described as a black male, 5'5 and 180 pounds. Wearing a gas mask and an orange construction vest. Hopefully they find the guy quick. The wounded count is up to 13. I'm sure these details will change as time goes on.

Yeah, they are now saying not a transit uniform, just a construction vest and gas mask.

New developments and they have shut down a 20 square block area. No explosive devices.

The attack is no no longer being investigated as terrorism. A person of interest has been identified - Frank James, 62 years old, is who the authorities are looking for.

This guy has been caught. Looks like he will face federal charges. Possibly terroristic since some of his own posts beforehand suggested it. Maybe the use of smoke bombs puts him in the federal category also.
