Any thoughts on Trump inviting the Taliban to Camp David (of all places) to commemorate 9/11?

Trump has wined and dined with Americas enemy's, as he considers them our (his) Allies over our traditional Allies. But anyone with knowledge of American History knows how serious it is to invite terrorist to the highly secure and secretive Camp David.

Just to later cancel because he is just now realizing they are a terrorist group.

Who approved their arrival on America soil?

What was America going to get out of such concession?

On the eve of the anniversary of 9/11?

How could he not know they've been killing Americans with Russian and Iranian weapons?

What American President would ever do this?

A lot of questions need to be answered, and we are very lucky he "cancelled". After being played by Putin, Kim, Saudi King, and all of our other enemy's, how much more can we trust this President?

Cam any of his supporters/defenders explain why this is ok?

The US gov SHOULD be meeting with the Taliban, precisely because they have been killing Americans with Russian stuff, etc.
No peace in A-stan without them at the table.

But they don't rank Camp David. They are not really a government, even in exile. Just a faction with little international respect.

And the highest level officials meeting them should be under- or deputy secretaries and their assistants until some deal is clinched--then Secretary of State. NOT the president.

Trump sees photo ops, branding and PR potential in these cases--though it looks like this time enough people made the gains and loses clear for him. After the ball was already rolling.

Is it clear the Taliban sent that rocket?  Sounds more like ISIS or Al Qaeda.
