The workers at the low end of the wage scale.  They are the ones that need the help.

Over the last forty years the cost of living has gone up because the income of the top 5% has increased dramatically while everyone lese has remained the same.  Who benefitted from that?

“They want to take your pickup truck, they want to rebuild your home, they want to take away your hamburgers,” he shouted from the lectern (watch the video above). “This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved. You are on the frontlines of the war against communism coming back to America under the guise of Democratic socialism.”


Ironically, Stalin actually launched the mass production of meat patties after he sent an aide to the U.S. to study the American economy — a fact Gorka is apparently not familiar with.


Ocasio-Cortez has already addressed Gorka’s burger claim. “We’re [not] gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that,” she said recently on “Desus & Mero.” “But ... we gotta address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”


In another confounding observation, Gorka said in an interview after his speech that talks between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un failed because Kim and his “coterie” hadn’t read the president’s book The Art of the Deal. (Trump’s ghostwriter has said that Trump didn’t write a word of the book.)

"Chris Hayes is what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming, and the patriarchal systems that cause it," Carlson said. 


Carlson then went after Ocasio-Cortez for saying America should not just have a "wealthy society" but also "a moral society." 


"'Wait a second,' you may be wondering, 'How does a member of Congress who hasn't yet turned 30, someone who's never even raised children, get the right to lecture me about morality?'" he said. 

"So it's official: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a moron and nasty and more self-righteous than any televangelist who ever preached a sermon on cable access. She is not impressive, she's awful." 

But Carlson said she has a following because, "if we're being honest, not everything she says is wrong." While he dismisses her "idiotic climate theology," Carlson said she is "one of the very few people who will say the obvious about growing corporate tyranny in this country." 


"That doesn't mean she's right about anything else," he added.


Ocasio-Cortez responded to Carlson's comment in a tweet Tuesday, saying when an audience member at the MSNBC town hall called former Republican Rep. Bob Inglis a "moron," she "shut it down immediately" because policies can be improved with "productive discourse."

"You know we’re winning when the GOP resort to vapid, personal insults," she said with a link to a Daily Beast article about Carlson's remarks.

He ended by telling Republican lawmakers that "If they beat me with the Green New Deal, I deserve to lose."

Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., unveiled the Green New Deal in February after a government report warning of the drastic consequences of climate change.

I think this is one of the biggest reasons the right is trying to vilify a first term member who hasn't done much of anything worth hating yet.

In a room full of millionaires and career politicians, the most terrifying thing is a person who has actually worked a low wage job. Imagine how messed up their world would be if real people started getting into office!?

What are the employees there paid?  That would be a good comparison.  If products cost twice as much as non-airport products but employees still make the same its a great comparison.

I was reading some stuff over the weekend that brought me back to this too.

According to some in this thread (and Ted Cruz) we are to focus solely on what AOC putin caps because that was the "emphasis" of her tweet and ignore the comparison she made immediately after because....capital letters.  Meanwhile we are to ignore DJT citing a source that doesn't exist because at the end of the sentence he muttered a barely audible "you tell me" so he MUST have been asking for clarification or someone to support a claim that he himself doesn't believe.

And people wonder why they aren't taken seriously when they defend DJT at every turn.

Yeah I post most of the dumb things/lies he says...because he's using them to try and shape policy and his "alternative facts" are getting passed around by his minions and the bible truth.

If he said fewer dumb things/lies we could focus on the worst ones.
