The team is stale.
#1
It's been stale since the playoff loss to the Steelers a few years ago. That loss was in meltdown fashion. You either have to fire the coach. Waive Burfict and/or Jones for the lack of control. You have to show that you care about winning and won't tolerate that. They brought everyone back.

Now:
-We have a historically bad defense.
-The teams solution - Fire the OC and bring back a guy that has 4.5 wins as a HC over the last 3 seasons.
-Each week we seemingly give up something related to NFL Records. (This week the Browns won on the road being 1 game away from setting a loss record. Also they hadn't scored a 1st Drive TD in like 13 drives. Last week we let a rookie QB rush for over 100 yards in his 1st start.)
-The offense is stale and lifeless. They can't figure out ways to get guys like Ross the ball.
-The offensive line is once again terrible.
-We have terrible LB's. We have possibly the worst LB in the NFL starting in Nickerson. Not worst starter. Worst LB - He just happens to start here.

We're in desperate need of a culture change.

How can players work hard when they know a coach who hasn't won a playoff game in 16 years is the Head Coach? How can they work hard when, we've lost playoff games with a Top 5 roster.

Now the talent is largely gone, and these are the results...losing to the Browns.

It's beyond stale. It's mold infested.

Stale was after 2015....

Mocked and bullied by the Browns. Desperate for their fired 0-16, 1-15 coach to save us. This is what believing in the "process" (for anyone who really had) got us.

This is the worse shape the team has been in since 2002.

We're in a bad spot. We won't add 3 quality starters in the draft.

We don't like to bring free agents in.

We need to upgrade some 6-8 positions. I don't know that we have a lot of young guys who have the potential to be solid players.

I think Price will develop.

But, what young offensive lineman do we have that could blossom into good starters? What LB's?

We definitely are 4-5 years away from being able to compete for a playoff spot again.

Imagine if they would have made the move after 2015. We'd be reaping the benefits right about now.

Yes. We may have actually won a playoff game too the next season.

But, you know if they made the move then it would have been Hue probably...so maybe not.

Doubtful. It would have depended who they put in as HC and what other changes in the organization were made - likely none and likely Hue as HC so we would be in the same place.

NOTHING will change until Mike Brown is gone

Stale as that day old bread that Scrooge McBrown buys for his tuna salad.

I can't remember if it was last season or the season before, but I believe Marvin himself came out and admitted that perhaps (lol) his message to the team had gotten stale.

I'd say after 15 years, it's inevitable.
Everything in this post is my fault.
