This is the best Bengals team (on paper) in a while

Yeah, I’m not worried about AJ currently being healthy, I’m sure he is, the question is can he make it through an entire season without yet another injury.

I am thinking at least 7 wins with the way they attacked FA and the Draft.

Defense is looking stacked and with Burrow and the OL improving late last season and us keeping AJ around while adding Tee
Higgins I could see this team being at the very least decent on Offense. Should take some time for the new players to gel and
for the coaches to continue to grow but things are definitely looking up.

Very good looking team on paper as you say, just need to stay relatively healthy.

Hey, you never know. Rewind 21 years ago when the “Greatest Show on Turf” Rams would go on to win the super bowl that year. Who saw that coming? Especially after losing Trent Green for the year before week 1. In recent years, who would have thought the Eagles would win the Super Bowl? And who in their right mind had Jacksonville making it to the AFC Championship games a few years ago? Who had the Rams making it to the super bowl the following year??

This is why I love football: any given year, anything can happen. Here’s hoping Pray

On paper to us fans things look good. What we are neglecting to address is that not every draft pick and not every FA will have the positive impact we are hoping for. Somethings gotta give. However, under the assumption that all of those guys play up to their ability or greater, than yes! We are much improved vs last year.

One thing I'm happy about right now is the emphasis on run defense. Looking at our 2020 opponents, we couldn't of had a better focus for 2020.

Ravens circus running game two times
Big Brown Chubb two times
King Henry and the Titans
Barkley and the Giants
Elliot and the Cowboys
Fournette and the Jags
Texans with a healthy David Johnson?
Marlon Mack and the Colts

We are going to be tested in the run game consistently this year so I'm glad we addressed it first and foremost this off-season. If this was the schedule for last years team it we would have set a record for rushing yards allowed (in the bad way).

That Big Brown Chubb has penetrated our 11 men without any lubrication.... not something I like watching.

Rep - good point.  That's quite an intimidating line up...if we keep trying to arm tackle, tackle high like last year we'll never get off the field.

Speaking of the Browns lets remember that on paper they were 2019 superbowl favorites. They won 6 games.

Coaching and team chemistry are two major x factors. We just don't know enough to say how things will go. But hey, at least that makes the games exciting. We could win any game. We could definitely lose any game too.

Yes, have to stop the run. Glad we focused on this very fact in getting Reader, Waynes, Alexander, Bynes, Wilson, ADG,
Kareem and Bailey. No more of Dre trying to arm tackle out there or Vigil getting torched by Lamar Jackson play please...
