A few Vikings boards aren't even talking about the game yet as far as I can tell, but here are a few. This isn't an invitation to go spam or troll the opposition, but rather to just get a view of how some of their fans view the Bengals matchup. Unsurprisingly they seem to be more confident on average than our fanbase is on average. That's probably earned.
It'll be fun to return to these after Sunday's game if and only if the Bengals emerge victorious. I might make the thread a series if enough people care (unless someone else already does it, if so merge me I guess).

Surprised to see some Viking fans picking the Bengals to win.

I used to visit - in the shadows - to read opposing teams boards before (and after if we won!) the game. No board was as soothing after a loss to visit then the Browns board...... The days.
I haven't in years with the losing. It's always interesting to hear their perspectives. And most of the time they sound pretty much like us with the backhanded remarks (out of exasperation no doubt) about their team.

I miss when we had the troll squad that would infiltrate the other teams boards on game weeks. Shit was childish and hysterical all in one.

This made me think of when the steelers had a board that often visited and talked smack when both teams were really good. I remember laughing so hard at a sig bet that Cincy won where at least 75% of the steelers fan board had a GIF of TJ Houshmanzadeh shining his shoes with the terrible towel. It made me laugh so hard to scroll through their board.
Of course, they got the last laugh that year. Here's to last year's Ryan Finley moment being the game that turns the tide for the next 20 years.

Enjoy that victory for sure.... saw the squeelers play their 2nd preseason game and they did not held back. Old Ben could still throw it 40+ yrds for a TD, their WR, whoever it was did not have the dropsies like Chase, and the D was pressuring/sacking as always in the first series. Now, if I had seen anything remotely similar to that this preseason with our team, I would be pretty excited and optimistic about a winning record. McPherson and our rookie DE, stood out, but individually, rather than thru team effort and one is gone for the season.
Im so glad Sunday is just 4 days away.

Jesus... I know PFF isn't the be-all-end-all, but seeing that starting chart of grades for the defense was depressing.
Bates: 90.1
Bell: 71.5
Hendrickson: 70.9
Reader: 69.6
Hubbard: 68.0
Hilton: 63.7
Apple: 55.3
Wilson: 54.7
Awuzie: 52.0
Ogunjobi: 51.4
Pratt: 41.5
- - - - - - -
I do find it funny that one of them predicted the Vikings to only score 6 points with Jefferson, Thielen, and Cook.
Didn't realize that the Vikings hadn't won in Cincinnati for 29 years. That's interesting.

One element I think many Vikings fans may underestimate is the Cincinnati secondary. They seem generally unaware of Jessie Bates, which is unsurprising given that he didn't even make the Pro Bowl in 2020. They view our corners as liabilities per their PFF grades, which may be fair. Awuzie is probably better than they expect him to be though, and they might not quite enjoy the aerial feast they are anticipating.

Not to mention if we have a pass rush it will make it even tougher against our Secondary. Agree our Secondary is underrated.
Our Linebackers are young, this may be where they can feast on us but Logan Wilson and ADG could come into their own in their
second year. Really liked what I saw of these guys this preseason, especially ADG. Wilson was very good for a rookie. Watching our
young Linebackers grow should be fun.

Luckily there is no Irv Smith Jr to wreck our LBs from the TE spot.
I honestly think this game will be won or lost due to the ability to contain the damage Dalvin Cook does. He is going to get yards and touches and most likely a TD. If the Bengals can hold him in check a little and make Cousins have to win the game, it favors Cincy. If the Vikings get into cruise control running the ball and can use play action off of it, it'll be a bad day for the Bengals.

I did a stint in cleveland for a few months a while back. The sports radio out there was simultaneously hilarious and depressing. Loved it.

If fairness on a few of those ratings:
Bell started the season slow but came on very strong.
Hubbard was fighting an injury and had no talent next to him.
Owuzie was also fighting through an injury on a team that had no pass rush (save the "should fit right in" jokes )
Wilson and Pratt were playing behind one of the worst defensive interiors in the league.
The good thing is there is a lot of optimism that all those scores should significantly improve this season. I don't see anyone pulling a Carlos/Geno/AJ Green disappearing act.

Yeah, and Reader was injured and Ogunjobi played out of position. Those grades mean nothing to me. Everyone is wondering if our Dline and LBers can stop Cook, I'm wondering if Minnie's Dline and Backers can stop Mixon. Their MLB is injured, is he not?

Completely agree, if we can contain Dalvin I think we win, he will get his though. If we can get Mixon going on top of this with
the Wide Zone Pollack implemented it'll be a bad day for the Vikings. One thing about the Hilton signing is he is very good against
TE's even though he is small, dude is honestly a wild man. Love this guy. Plays like mighty mouse.
