Trevor Bauer: First Reds pitcher to win a Cy Young
#1
https://www.mlb.com/reds/news/trevor-bauer-wins-2020-nl-cy-young-award

Took 27 of 30 first place votes. Well done, sir. It's a shame we didn't get to see a full season from him. I was actually thinking today while driving around testing our new frequency change that I miss Reds games being there everyday. Unlike 2020, this season just wasn't long enough.

Congrats to Bauer.  He deserved it.

But I feel that Tom Seaver (14-2, 2.54 ERA) got robbed in 1981 because of all the media hype for "Fernando-Mania".  Valenzuela was only 13-7 with a 2.48 ERA.  Reds even had a better record (66-42) than the Dodgers (63-47) that year, but due to the crazy strike year rules the Dodgers made the playoffs and the Reds didn't.  In fact the Reds won more games than any team in MLB that year.  We could have very well had the Reds in the world Series the same year the Bengals made the Super Bowl if not for the strike.

He deserved it, just to bad we'll never be able to keep him.
