Trump accuses Obama of treason in new book
#1
Yes, your favorite liar gave interviews for a book (while still in office) where he charges his predecessor with treason for spying on him.

He says Obama was caught and it is true...so how can it not be?  Ninja

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/trump-accuses-obama-of-treason-for-spying-on-his-2016-campaign

Quote:President Trump has ratched up his claim that the Obama White House spied on his 2016 campaign, charging in a new book that it was a “treasonous” act by the former Democratic president.

“What they did was treasonous, OK? It was treasonous,” he told author Doug Wead for his upcoming book, "Inside Trump's White House: The Real Story of His Presidency."

“The interesting thing out of all of this is that we caught them spying on the election. They were spying on my campaign. So you know?
What is that all about?” said Trump.

“I have never ever said this, but truth is, they got caught spying. They were spying,” said Trump who then added, “Obama.”

In 2017, Trump tweeted that he felt the Obama White House “had my wires tapped” in Trump Tower. He later said he didn’t mean it literally but that he felt his campaign was being spied on.

Attorney General William Barr earlier this year said he was looking into whether “improper surveillance” may have occurred in 2016. "I think spying did occur," he said.

He has tasked a prosecutor to look into Obama officials and other officials who sparked the Russia collusion investigation into Trump after a report showed no collusion. New reports on that investigation described it as “criminal” in nature.

“It turned out I was right. By the way,” Trump told Wead in excerpts provided to Secrets. “In fact, what I said was peanuts compared to what they did. They were spying on my campaign. They got caught and they said, ‘Oh we were not spying. It was actually an investigation.’ Can you imagine an administration investigating its political opponents?” said the president.

In the book, Trump said that the Russia investigation undercut his presidency.

“Anybody else would be unable to function under the kind of pressure and distraction I had. They couldn’t get anything done. No other president should ever have to go through this. But understand, there was no collusion. They would have had to make something up,” he said.

I tried to find the words to express how disgusted I am with this man. I can't. He is a pile of feces that has been painted orange and the White House will need an enema when we are done with him.

Only a little over 5 years to go.

But I agree the things he has done is far beneath the Office of POTUS and he has really brought out the ugliness in both sides.

Doug Wead writing about spying on a President?

That is pretty interesting considering Wead got into some hot water for taping phone conversations with George W Bush without his consent.

At the time Bill O'Reilly said, "I think this guy Wead is the lowest form of debris in the country."

Trump: "Hateful thing!"

Democrats: "Trump shouldn't say hateful things."

Republicans: So much ugliness on both sides.

"But I agree the things he has done is far people the Office of POTUS" = Sounds like something Trump would say. Must follow the Charles Manson motto, "no sense makes sense".

"he has really brought out the ugliness in both sides" = I fixed it for you.

Thanks for pointing out the typo. It has been corrected. Of course Trump is responsible for the hate he brings out. I just disagree with which side he brings it out more previlently. Just look at Bels reply in this very thread

He DOES bring this "hate" out of Democrats more so than Republicans.  That's for sure.

Just look at all those who rage about his racial stereotyping and misogynistic treatment of women,

or call out his lies about Obama's treason or millions of undocumented residents voting,

or decry his weaponizing the DOJ against political rivals,

or raise holy hell about his hiring a "fixer" to violate campaign laws in paying off a porn star,

or call for impeachment over his abuse of power in withholding aid from Ukraine for personal gain,

or complain about his most recent policy disaster in Syria which he calls a great deal for the world.

I don't see any hate among those who go down the full list of Trump bad behavior and just see a "different style" of governing and no quid pro quo in linking military aid to dirt on Biden.

So I got your back on this one Bfine

I challenge anyone on this thread to prove you are wrong about which side most hates Trump's lying and incompetence.

You're using the word hate in a very liberal fashion. There is no hate in me on this. There is just disgust.

Really?

I don't hear anything but cheers and praise from the right.  What's ugly about that?

But you are correct about the left.  Some of them have gotten very ugly in response to the things Trump has done and said.

The cheers and praise of hateful rhetoric is ugly.

So he is "inspiring" the right and "provoking" the left?

Yeah your right Bfine. I stand corrected.  The left probably do hate Trump more. I must of been thinking about how Trump brought out the cowardliness and hypocrisy of the right. ThumbsUp

Just to point out, again, none of that would be treason in the US. I mean that wouldn't be treason in any country. He was a candidate.

Agreed.  It's just a buzzword to get attention like "impeachment" was before Trump actually did something publically potentially worthy of impeachment.
