May POTUS fundraisng due out by tomorrow.
#1
Democrats have always done better fundraising for POTUS and Congress than Republicans. The May numbers for donations and cash on hand are coming soon.

Biden's haul in LA last week is not included, it will be on his June report.

Will Biden rake in more cash in May?

I've heard that too, but in passing. Do they have to report campaign funding?

I find it hard to believe they report all the buckets of cash being poured into their campaigns.

And if it were accurate and above board, why does it take so long to report?

I doubt anybody reports cash. That's why a lot of smaller businesses only do cash business.

History

And then there is this:

Most expensive ever: 2020 election cost $14.4 billion • OpenSecrets

Democrats Heavily Outspent GOP in 2020
Democratic candidates and groups spent $8.4 billion, compared to $5.3 billion for Republicans. Democrats' spending falls to $7 billion when excluding spending by billionaire presidential candidates Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer

Remove Steyer and Bloomberg who both bashed Trump in ads, Democrats still out spent Trump by almost 2 billion with "B"

HRC also outspent Trump in 2016.

Yes, monthly by 20th of the month up until October 20, 2024.

It is not the intake of cash, it is like a business, to get cash on hand they need to have all expenses that occurred in that month.

So, prior month cash on hand + new month cash donations - any expenses = new cash on hand. Rinses and repeat each month with last month reported is September, 2024 on October 20, 2024.

According to the link you connected to, 2020 the Democrats outspent Republicans.  However, Republicans outspent Democrats in 2016, 2012, and 2008

Look again. HRC outpaced Trump by a lot and Democrats outpaced Trump in 2020 by over 3 billion in spending money.  Look at Trump 2016 versus Clinton 2016 on the graph provided in the article.

As for cash on hand, Biden announced he has 212 million as of May 31, 2024. He took in 85 million with the DNC.

The former president's campaign announced two and a half weeks ago that they and the RNC, fueled in part by the former president's guilty verdicts in his criminal trial, combined hauled in a stunning $141 million in fundraising in May.

That was up from the $76 million they raised in April when they topped President Biden and the Democratic National Committee for the first time in their 2024 election rematch.

I was wrong, they have to report cash on hand quarterly, so Trump and RNC has not reported cash on hand since April 20, 2024, for 1st 3 months of 2024.

Biden rakes in big bucks last month, but haul is far short of Trump's massive May fundraising

The May fundraising was Biden's second best so far this election cycle, and his campaign highlighted a massive cash-on-hand figure

President Biden's 2024 re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee raised a combined $85 million in May, which is their second-best month of fundraising this election cycle.

But the money raised by Biden and the DNC is far short of the staggering haul raised by former President Trump's campaign and the Republican National Committee last month.

In announcing their May fundraising figures on Thursday evening, the Biden campaign also highlighted that they had a massive $212 million cash-on-hand as of the end of May.

I found this interesting. Trump has yet to buy ads in the swing states, Biden has already started.

While Biden's campaign has spent upwards of $65 million to carpet the airwaves with ads in support of president's re-election, according to AdImpact, a leading national ad tracking firm, the Trump campaign has yet to launch a general election ad buy.

It appears Trump's cash on hand advantage has Democratic donors worried. After May, rump has a advantage for first time ever over Biden and the DNC.
