This should be no surprise given the sampling (53% D, 27% I, 13% R, and 3% other), and one cannot rank someone halfway through this first term, but here you go for shits and giggles. Interesting enough, Republican and Conservative historians ranked Trump 40th of 44.
Top 5:
1. Lincoln
2. Washington
3. F D Roosevelt
4. T Roosevelt
5. Jefferson
40. Johnson
41. Pierce
42. Harrison
43. Buchanan
44.Trump

Gotta agree. He might surprise all of us some day. Although I can see how he would be lower based on his behavior so far.

Halfway? More like a quarter of the way. Kinda stupid to include him.

Normally I'd agree, but I think we've seen enough of Trump in the past 30+ years to allow some wiggle room on this one.

Isn't he the 45th POTUS? Also, those are political scientists, not historians.

Yes he is. Let's see who can figure out who got left out. Or is Grover Cleveland counted twice?

No one, it's a trick question. Trump is the 45th president, but Cleveland is both the 22nd and 24th, because his terms were not consecutive. This means there have only been 44 individuals that have served as POTUS.

Damn that dude who caught pneumonia at his inauguration and died beat him?
As to the panel: What self-respecting conservative would be a social scientist?

Ohio has pretty many presidents, but it's not a distinguished list. We own half the assassinations. The fattest guy. The shortest term guy.

I actually know quite a few conservative social scientists. There have to be conservative social scientists or else a lot of the conservative political theories wouldn't exist.
Also, that list is horse shit.
