Bradford was appointed by the Trump administration to run the Energy Department's Office of Indian Energy, he tweeted a slew of disparaging remarks about the real and imagined ethnic, religious and gender identities of former president Barack Obama, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, TV news host Megyn Kelly and Japanese Americans during World War II.

So, what's William Bradford doing in his new DOE job? He's supposed to help Native Americans on the U.S. mainland and in Alaska secure access to electricity while helping reduce their costs. But given his callous insensitivity and the fact that Donald Trump's other appointees seem hell bent on destroying the agencies in their charge, Native Americans are unlikely to receive this "help."

William Bradford learns the hard way: mean, bigoted tweets don't go away when you delete them.

Here is a sampling of William Bradford's unhinged tweets, as unearthed from the Wayback Machine‘s Internet Archive.
In February 2016, he ranted about Facebook founder March Zuckerberg's call to reject Donald Trump, calling him a "little arrogant self-hating Jew."



Note the highly appropriate nickname from his Twitter handle: "Brute."

That month he also weighed in on then-Defense Secretary Ash Carter's order to open all combat positions in the military to women. 

Then, on the 74th anniversary of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's disastrous order to detain Japanese Americans in internment camps, William Bradford tactlessly declared, "It was necessary."


You may not have heard of William Bradford, but The Guardian reports his purple prose cost him his job teaching law at West Point.

Quote:A law professor who published an inflammatory article urging attacks on law professors and "Islamic holy sites" and who has been dogged by accusations of misrepresenting his academic and military credentials has resigned from the US Military Academy at West Point, the Guardian has confirmed.

For a couple months he managed not to offend anyone, then in May, he shared his hateful thoughts on transgender people using bathrooms.


Never mind that more Republicans have been arrested for sexual misconduct in bathrooms than transgender people.

In July William Bradford invited his followers to "imagine a world without Islam."


Then, like the kettle calling the pot black, he called people who want to take action against climate change based on scientific data "cultists" and "nuts."


Then, in December, William Bradford went beyond the pale called then-President Barack Obama a "Kenyan creampuff" for brokering the Iran deal, which rolled back sanctions in exchange for Iran backing down on their nuclear program.


Media Matters also notes our trash-talking Twitizen also declared in a January 2016 column that "a second U.S. Civil War may be necessary" if we elected a Democrat to the White House.

Just the type of man some would love around here.
