UDFA Darius Hodge arrested
#1
UDFA Darius Hodge, Marshall, was arrested over the weekend for a 2019 assault in Wake Forest, NC, his hometown. Supposedly, he hit a man repeatedly. There is no other information right now. Seems weird that this warrant hadn't been served anytime since the assault occurred so it will be interesting to see if this has any teeth behind it or is a money grab from the alleged victim.
He faces no discipline from the NFL for this other than getting on the bad boy list. It remains to be seen what the team will do if anything

Probably less a money grab and more a "F you" move. Teams generally won't tolerate any distraction from a UDFA guy since he's already such a longshot.

Certain Bengals knew about this before giving him a shot.

Odd though that he is just now being arrested unless he had been evading a warrant.

But if it were the victim who waited somehow ? Then it seems very odd that he did not wait to see whether he made the team and had money to go after as well.

Don't think he had much of a chance to make the roster anyway, but sadly this may up his chances with Bengals track record in matters of this sort.

Could be worse... could be Terry from FSU who was waived and indicted on felony murder charges...

Compared to that, throwing a few punches seems tame.

The question is:  Was the alleged victim a steeler fan or player?  It might have some validity to the beating.   Hilarious
