At least we'll be the first team to 0-2 this season.   Ninja

IMO, the window on this team closed in that 15 playoff collapse. You saw flashes last year due to the leadership of Whitworth on O and Burfict on D. You take those two out of the mix and you get what we had today. We have some decent individual players, but there is no vision or leadership anywhere.

No doubt. Because Andy only got sacked 5 times in last year's opener.

Are you suggesting this O-line is in a better position without Whitworth and Zeitler?

Yeah, didn't think so.  Case closed.

Zampese needs to go and Ogbuehi still has no business being on an NFL field.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Carson just threw a pick-6, and the Lions are curb-stomping him, so Imma enjoy that.

Yeah, didn't think so.  Case closed.

I suggesting they had the same results in last year's opener. I cannot see into the future and determine if this line will preform better than last year's. But feel free to close the case

They won 6 games last year with Whit and Z. Let's stop pretending the oline is the only problem here...

If AJ doesn't start next week Marvin should be driven out of town and dumped off in Cleveland!

Not the only problem, but they are now the biggest and most severe problem.

Disappointing, but not surprising. Our worst fears about the oline were confirmed. While Dalton did enough to look terrible on his own, it didn't help that he got hit 4535 times and always had someone in his face or around his feet every time he dropped back. The batted passes are directly attributable to the oline. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that we couldn't protect on traditional 5 and 7 step drops, so we relied on 3 step drops and quick reads. That's when the Ravens started getting their hands on the ball.

LaFell is a joke. The only reason he put up the numbers he had last season was because Green was out and he was forced into the #1 role. I'm not so sure the first red zone int wasn't his fault, and he let a pass hit him because he wasn't paying attention. Also, how in the hell is a false start by a wide out our first play of the season?

On a positive note, aside from the long TD, the defense looked pretty good. They were asked to be on the field a lot and did well considering the situations they were placed in.

The penalties were embarrassing. So many at such key moments in the game. Perhaps they're a side effect of our youth movement, but if the rest of our struggles continue, racking up penalty yardage like that will ensure that we win 2 games.

All of this appears to be fixable. However, if our two young tackles don't grow up quickly (doubtful), this season will be over before it really gets started. Tez will add a spark on D. Hopefully Ross will be able to get open. Dalton won't play that bad all year.

Again, I'm terribly disappointed, but not at all surprised.

It's week one, so people should take a step back from the ledge.

With that said, we looked like the worst team in the NFL today. Our offense really needs to get its stuff together. No excuses to get shutout, no excuses to turn it over 4 times, no excuses to get the QB killed so consistently. Long ways to go.
