This was my generation when I really started getting in to the Bengals every time I visited my old man in Cincinnati.

I assume there's a rule change. Last year they had to wear the alternate (color rush) jerseys with the white helmets, This year they get to wear the whites

The bengals put in for that change in the owners meetings before training camp

Color Rush was discontinued by the NFL, but teams were allowed to use it as an alternate if they wanted to.  Apparently, we now have only 3 jerseys, white, black, and orange alternate.
