What Bets Do You Like For The Season?
#1
I'm presenting to two classes at a school in the east side on Friday, which means I'll have to go by the casino on my way to and from, so I figured I can stop in the new sportsbook and place some bets!

Here's the website to the Barstool Sportsbook in Lawrenceburg, which the odds have to be the same as the Barstool at Hard Rock in Cincinnati.

Obviously going to put a hundred on them to win the Super Bowl at +900 and a hundred to even make the Super Bowl at +500.

I'm going to put a hundred on Burrow to win MVP at +800 because, with protection, I think Burrow wins easy. Might put $200 on that.

Might do a hundred or two to win the division, but, at +110, is it even worth it to only win roughly twice what I bet? Could bet more on that because it's looking like a done deal (barring injuries).

It doesn't have Chase to win the receiving title or anything like that, so I'll probably go back in the summer, but what do you think of those bets and should I bet anything else?

Before this probably gets moved, I will respond. I don't suggest betting at all.   However, the best betting advice is to never bet the rent or food money.  Odds are you are going to lose, so if you have money to lose, OK.

This gambling in Ohio is NEW and so beware.  I did bet on NFL when it started on New Years Eve after Midnight at a Casino in Dayton Ohio. I drove over, made my bets, and left real fast.   The next week I bet half as much on last week of season.

The second and last week of NFL, I only bet 35 dollars.  A 3 team parlay for 30 bucks that would have paid 215 dollars if all 4 teams would have covered their spreads.  A 10 team parlay for 5 dollars that would have paid 3,420 dollars if all 10 teams would have covered.   So I bet 35 dollars to try to win 3,635 dollars.

I had 35 dollars to lose, and I did.   The odds are you are going to lose.  Now 35 dollars times 18 weeks, I'm not sure I want to lose that much.

One of the total rip offs is that if say you bet only The Bengals to Win, and they Win AND cover the spread, it doesn't even pay 2 to 1.   If you bet 50, you will only win about 40, which is a suckers bet.  The pay out is awful on a win.  Same with less than 2 to 1 horses.

Be very careful with the New Gambling now Legal in the Ohio area.  I've seen people lose their grocery stores they owned, lose their homes. lose their wives and children.  The movie where Rocky is suppose to break the guys thumbs for being late on his gambling debts happens.  We can learn from Pete Rose who got in so deep they had that low life young mob bookie living with Pete and his young wife even when Pete was on the road with the team.  No man would want that guy in your house with your wife when you are States away, but that's how deep Pete Rose fell into Gambling like an alcoholic drug addict.

Comic Nipsey Russell had a poem. "  For those who want to gamble, I have this advise to say.  The best way to double your money, is to fold it and put it away "

Beware, and that same goes with The State Lottery, which people lose a lot on.  So the State is in the numbers racket.  We are going to get bombarded with commercials telling us to gamble, even more than the State Lottery, which does not go to schools like they claim it does, our State Leaders LIE on that, it does NOT all go to schools.

I may or may not make my 35 dollar bet in 2023, but I feel like a sucker if I make it all 18 weeks of the season.  I don't want to lose 140 dollars a month, and the odds are in gambling that you are going to lose.  You don't beat these Casinos or States with Casino type Lottery or clubs like Moose, Eagles, VFW, Amvets that with their slot machines and rigged games are small Casinos.  All these places are set up to win, and you are set up to lose. ANYTHING YOU CAN BET ON CAN BE RIGGED AND CROOKED.  The worst is these clubs with a Queen Of Hearts Game.  They pull out the name from the bin of who gets to pick a card. They put the cards upside down so they know where the winning cards are. So all they do is pull out their own names or a rigged person to pick the winning card, and so they take in money without really giving any money out, A RIGGED GAME.

BEWARE ON THIS NEW LEGAL GAMBLING.....BEWARE.

ADD ON, early in this I said a 4 team parley for 30 to win 215. It was a 3 team parlay. Trying to pick 3 teams, not 4. The 10 team pick of 5 bucks to win over 3 grand to me is like playing the Lottery, odds are against it, but not as bad odds as The State Mega Lotto The combined 35 dollars was to keep it to something I could afford to Lose. Try to pick 3 teams to win 200 and take a shot at the 10 team 3 grand prize. Again, even this could add up to losing too much if I did t and lost on the 3 team pick every week.

He sure did and I can’t bet here in Oklahoma dumb ass Governor vetoing all bills ( gambling was approved for him to sign) until legislature passes his education bill and tax cuts. I would bet )$ 100 on making and winning SB. Hard to win back to back for KC. But I’d wait on our RT spot to settle. There’s a chance that if we have Jonah, Carman, and Collins all competing we could be really good there. Frank Booth expects Volson to make the Pro Bowl. We’ve got some depth for once in OL. We’ve got depth at CB and Safety. Much better depth at receiver. We’ve got depth at DE and DT. We’ve not covered depth at every position but it’s better. Murphy needs to play a bunch. Hope they let him.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

MOVE TO CINCY!

We're on the cutting edge of everything!

I'm also anxious to see the actual Sportsbook more than just pictures and find out what kind of atmosphere it is.

I'm going to home games and then will just hang out at BWs, Wings & Rings, sports bars, and places like that, but might sneak over and spend some time in the Sportsbook on game days and maybe for some college Saturdays.

(Why does it capitalize Sportsbook? My phone does it too. I can see if it was a specific Sportsbook like "Hard Rock Sportsbook" but Sportsbook is just a common noun........... or what am I missing?)

How can I pay attention to what you wrote Brad when distracted by the expression on the girl in the wheelchair when she realizes this is not going to work out well for her.

Watch out for the Ravens this year. They are loaded and could win the division. I think Burrow has a good chance for MVP and the Bengals have a good chance of going to the Super Bowl. Like previously stated, only bet money you are willing to lose.

I'm not a big sports gambler despite the fact it's quite popular out here. That said, if the Bengals make the SB I think they're gonna win. So you might as well drop the full 200 on the win. That's all I wanted to say lol

Good luck

I whole heartedly agree with Kevin on this one.  Like it or not the big gambling houses aren't in the business of making you rich. Quite the contrary, they're in the business of making you poor and they'll do it without losing a second of sleep. It's a complete offshoot of the exact same business the mob got filthy rich on suckering suckers out of house and home, families, businesses and everything else you might have ever had. You might hit it big, but the odds are heavily stacked against you at every turn. They never lose, but their customers almost always do. I've seen people lose absolutely everything and there's a damn good reason gambling was banned for so long. It had nothing to do with morality and everything to do with keeping families from going tits up and driven to the poor house.
Bottom line is if you lose your ass gambling sympathy is only in one place..between shit and syphilis .I ain't gonna feel sorry for you suckers if you piss your life savings away on a suckers bet. You're probably better off gambling on whether that shot of dope will be the one that puts you in the graveyard. I beat that one, but never beat a gambling house..
I might be a buzz kill, but I'd never take your life savings and leave you and your entire family in dire poverty. Those criminals will and brag about it on national TV with the complete blessings of the whole of the sporting world and now the full faith and credit of the United States government. You have definitely been warned.

I'm not going to gamble away thousands of dollars or my life savings because I don't even have access to all that lol.

I'm not looking to make a living off this but it will make the season that much more fun to watch and just cheer for the team.

I know the house never loses, but I think we could make some money off the team this year and the house still has 31 other teams to make money off of.

I would have won money on my Super Bowl bet two years ago if I hadn't listened to my friend because he told me to bet it straight-up and not take the points.

I'm not betting too much, I still have a fair amount of poker money, and I'm not trying to make a living off it, so I'll be ok.

It’s a gamble every day when I wake up whether someone is going to po me. It’s a gable whether I’ll have a flat tire with the garbage that’s on I75. Fact is, we gamble all the time. Sometimes it’s with money. Sometimes it’s with time. Sometimes it’s with my frame of mind.

Everyday……we gamble. The only difference is what you use as currency.

Sunday, I'm planning on going to the Reds game and I'm going to stop by the Sportsbook in Hard Rock downtown and bet the Reds to win the World Series and us to win the Super Bowl!

Reds are HOT with Cruz blowing up and Votto coming back from injury!

My friend already bet it (he's in Michigan) and I'm hoping I can get similar odds because it's a BIG payout!

It's a GREAT time to be in Cincinnati!

Got 100 on Bengals to win it all @ 9/1

40 on Burrow to win MVP @7/1

10 on it to be a Bengals vs 49ers Super Bowl @28/1

I think those are the same odds I got but put a hundred on each.

Might put a hundred or so on Chase to lead the league in receiving yards/touchdowns or something and see if I can parlay it with Burrow MVP or a statistical category.

Haven't looked at bets yet this year, but I like to mess around with parlays on fanduel. Last few years I just load $100 on there and play around with whatever funds won/lost and never reload it after the initial 100. I'm like +$300 over all past 3 years but never make large bets. Like 5-10 so I don't run out if I have a bad week.
