It's hard to get real data on rape given the fact that it's very underreported, but let's go with the 5% number. If 5% of rapes end in pregnancy that's roughly 31,000 based on if we're going with the CDC estimates.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8765248

The study that got the rape percentage determined that a half did not seek medical attention for the rape and a third did not even realize they were pregnant until the 2nd trimester. 62% got abortions.

You must see a TON of unicorns in Florida.

You do realize that the first link counts the times you have sex while intoxicated as rape. That's not rape. That's you having sex while drunk. Not to mention sexual coercion (meaning if a guy convinces a girl to have sex).

According the the department of justice 1.1 per 1000 people (not just women) were raped or sexually assulted in 2001. In 2009 and 2010 it was much lower being .5 in 2009, and .7 in 2010.

Telling a rape victim she must carry her attacker's child isn't very popular for most people. Doesn't matter if it's rare, either.

Guys... Apparently it's not rape if she's drunk.

Jesus, some of you sound like horrible human beings when you talk about rape.

Now, now.  Let's be fair.

They sound like horrible human beings when they talk about women in general.  Mellow

It isn't rape if it's consensual. Being drunk and having sex isn't rape, but apparently you think it is.

When did I say that? Consenting while buzzed isn't rape, sure,  but having sex with someone who cannot consent is rape, yea.

You're trying to write off that statistic as women having regrets when they were drunk. That's pretty pathetic.

Bfine, I'm not sure what my sex life has to do with nonconsensual sex. Go to pornhub if you're looking for something to get off to.

Then it would have reported as a rape if it wasn't consensual, and added to the statistic for the bureau of justice.

Would it? Tell that to the girl who accused Roethlisberger of rape. The cop at the scene said "this ***** is drunk".

It's fortunate that you're a man and not very likely to be raped. It's not all sunshines and flowers with you happily skipping to the police department or the hospital to have an invasive rape test.

What is it, like over 60% of rapes are never reported?

Because you can tell the amount if it hasn't been reported? Why stop at 60%? Why not just say 99% of rape is unreported?

Because studies that anonymously polled women determined this number...

Unless you're one of those people do not believe in studies.

The number is apparently 68% and comes from the Department of Justice, the source you wanted me to use

Yes, and a lot of those studies asked if they ever had sex while drunk or high. When the woman answered yes then they say "oh, well then you were raped!"
