What was our lowest amount of sacks in a season?
#1
Does anyone know what our lowest total for a season was? I couldn’t find it with a quick search, but I’d imagine the 15 we’re currently at, plus maybe a couple more the next 3 games would have to be right around the bottom. I know sacks didn’t officially become a stat until the 80’s, but were any of those 90’s teams worse at getting to the QB? This feels historically bad.

We have 15 on the season?! That's it?

Some dude from the Packers (I think) had 5 in one game yesterday.

God this team sucks

Edit: it's was a cardinals player, not Packers.

So assuming Pittsburgh blanks us (because ofc they will) we need 3 against Houston and Baltimore to not be the worst ever...

Crazy to think that 2008 year was Zimmer's first season as DC, taking over for Bresnahan.
That year, no player had more than 3.0 sacks, which was a tie between Ndukwe (safety), Odom (DE), and Thorton (DT).
The very next year, Zimmer's defense doubled their sack total to 34 en route to a 10-6 record and sweeping the division.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!
